I enjoyed the dragon tattoo series. It was a lot of work to get through but it was interesting.

I went from there to the George Martin series A Song Of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), loved it.

Now I'm reading Fall Of Giants by Ken Follett which is the first part of a trilogy about WWI. It is a very fast read compared to the other series!

Dawn Just started Railsea by China Miéville last night - sort of against my will. Had no intention of reading it yet, but must have been feeling the "call of Mieville" and opened it on my Nook. I read the first line of the prologue and that was it - I'm in.

"This is the story of a bloodstained boy."

Michelle (MChristianMommy) | 8 comments Ella wrote: "The Cuckoo's Calling by JK Rowling. The free sample download sucked me in and had to buy the ebook!"

How is it? I'm thinkin' about buying it as soon as I finally finish Harry Potter. (Always wanted to read the books, since I've seen the movies... finally got them! haha)

message 1440: by Ella (new)

Ella The sample was only 15 pages or so, but from reading reviews, it's seems the reviewers who didn't like it were expecting something magical as in the Harry Potter series. I loved HP series myself and am enjoying this one so far (just started it) as I also like crime novels as well.

That's part of the reason why I was so interested in it. Just by reading a 'desc' of it, I know it's not going to be anything like HP, but I guess it's a good thing I enjoy a good crime novel, too! lol.
