Not bad, so far. The whole "Elmore Leonard" dark humor thing wears old at times. But the plot and characterizations are really well done.

Konnie (mrsnaz) Ooohhh that second one sounds good! I have been at a stand still with The Language of Flowers, but it is not the books fault. I am finishing up student teaching and will be graduating next week. I've just been very busy. It is supposed to rain all weekend so hopefully I can get some good reading in. :)

Oh lovely! I'm stuck at the moment and having a hard time getting into any of my group reads, pfft.

message 1017: by Konnie (new)

Konnie (mrsnaz) Am I the only one who has a hard time following through with series? I read the first and love it, but then give up on the second. I have done this several times. I WANT to read the entire series, but there are just too many other books on my TBR list! For instance I devoured The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins and LOVED it. I picked up Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins right after and gave up by page 30. Fast forward several months and I am forcing myself to try again. I know I will end up loving it, but I just have such a hard time committing to series... ugh!

I'm reading the second one. this series is so intense. I'm liking it. I'll probably finish the second book today or tomorrow. I also have clockwork angel which I have 40 some pages left to read or around there. I just can't seem to get the books finished as fast as I did other years. I don't know if it's because more are on the nook or not.
I want to read defining Jacob soon have ot find a copy first. still have guilty wives to finish reading that seems to be on the back burner with the group reads and I'm reading the columm mccann book in trade size for a f2f book group. that one I just can't get though I need it finished for the last wednesday in the month and it's just not a easy book to pick up with all the other ones going and it's easy to put down also.
