I liked the older ones!!! How can you beat classics like The Sign of the Twisted Candle The Sign of the Twisted Candles (Nancy Drew, #9) by Carolyn Keene , The Hidden Staircase, the Clue of the Leaning Chimney, etc! Although at the time (in the 80's) when The Nancy Drew Files Secrets Can Kill (The Nancy Drew Files, Case #1) by Carolyn Keene series came out, I appreciated the modern stories!

Wow, just read from another discussion board that Nancy Drew turns 80 years old today! I had no idea that that series has been out so long! I thought it started in the 1960's!

Louie I used to read a ton of both series when I was younger and I loved them all, though I do remember wishing that some of the Nancy Drew Files books that I read were a little more thought out. But, I would definitely read both series again and I do have some favorite Nancy Drew Files books like Bad Medicine and Last Dance! They were some of the first books I read that really got me into loving mysteries.
I was overjoyed this year when I found out that the first six books in the files series were repuplished in two volumes, each containing three books. They were republished because of the new Nancy Drew show that released this year on the CW.

Here are the new covers:

Nancy Drew Files Vol. I Secrets Can Kill; Deadly Intent; Murder on Ice by Carolyn Keene Nancy Drew Files Vol. II Smile and Say Murder; Hit and Run Holiday; White Water Terror by Carolyn Keene
