April 2010 Challenge
I think I will read
by Zoey Dean; it has pink on the cover ("The A-List"), and Zoey starts with a "Z," just like Zakiya! :)
Okay you suggested the theme idea. I was wondering where do you get your ideas for these themes? It would help me with my research. I would definitely have done well with April's challenge this month.
anyone know of an author that starts with m???
Modern day fairies. But like I said, I wouldn't recommend them. I mean, REALLY wouldn't. Besides being horribly written, there's some *ahem* inappropriate content.Let me think about other M authors...
well, i will check her out anyway.
(The book isn't actually called Wicked Ugly. It's called Wicked Lovely. But I still wouldn't recommend it...)
I'm gonna read
so that will cover the pink cover. Let's see someone whose name that starts with a C? I'll have to think about that one.
Hmmm - K's or H's - I should finally read
...totally have to put it on hold at the library! And pink...going to have to work on that one. :)
I am going to read PS, I Love You
by Cecelia Ahern It's been sitting on my shelf waiting for an excuse to start it since my friend lent it to me. :)

I will be reading Collum McCann's Let the Great World Spin. No pink on the cover, but his last name starts with an "M" like mine. Does it matter that I started it in March, but had to put my reading on hold?
It doesn't matter when you start the book. Just as long as you finish it the month of the challenge.

girl with the pearl earring is quick and easy. i am not familiar with the other titles. i like tracy chevalier though. interesting topics and good historical information.
I was surprised how Chevalier put the story together around a painting and artist. I was a fun historical read. Last summer, I actually seen some of Vameer's paintings in NYC. Very exciting!
I've finished
by Patricia Briggs (Silver Borne (Mercedes Thompson, #5)) My last name starts with a B--so that's taken care of. And have just started Aunt Dimity Down Under
so that's my pink. Gotta love a book with a pink stuffed animal bunny head on it, right
Do you need to read the 14 mysteries before Aunt Dimity Down Under?
I'm in for this challenge.1/2 Done
Pink on the cover book will be:
The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von ArnimAuthor letter match will be:
The Deception of the Emerald Ring

You can read as many books as you want for these challanges so keep posting if you finish more.
Happy Reading All. : )

Knocked out 2 books with my last name initial for the author. Well, they are part of a series (the last 2 of the series that I had to read) so that's not surprising. :o)Angel at Troublesome Creek and Hark! The Herald Angel Screamed, both by Mignon F. Ballard. Oh--and yeah, the "Angel" referred to in both titles is a "real" angel.
Sounds like some interesting books Ann.
I'm on the board with:
Pink -
by Sherrilyn Kenyon 4/8/2010
(Her lips are pink.)
Pink & Last Name(H) -
by Holly Black Currently Reading
(There are dashes of pink in the wings and creatures.)

Triple Shot Bettys In Love by Jody Gehrman(pink)
Irresistible Forces by Brenda Jackson(pink, last name B)
Well I'll do at least the name challenge I will read
by Annette Blair (her first and last name start with the same letter of my first and last name I think that's like bonus points lol) I will have to look around at what you guys picked for the pink cover and my shelves see if I can find something that I am interested in :)

Sure, I'm not picky. If you feel that it counts.
Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Lifethis has red, but the author's first name begins with an A so it sounds (my last name starts with an A).
lol Angela--I have that same book sitting on my TBR pile too. And if we're getting double points for it matching First AND Last names, then I get it too. :o)

1. To read a book with pink on the cover. Anywhere, any amount. Pink is to symbolize the new flowers that will be starting to bloom this spring.
2. Read a book by an author whose first or last name starts with the same letter of your first or last name.
