message 351: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm through about 25%. (view spoiler).

message 352: by Leea (new)

Leea Dang it!! We've been you so busy. How was the amazement park? How do you like the book?

message 353: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) The amusement park was awesome! It's a water park/amusement park so the best of both worlds. We had a good time.

message 354: by Leea (new)

Leea That's great! I plan on reading a ton tomorrow. I'll catch up :)

message 355: by Leea (new)

Leea 29%... I love Jules, what he said about Max and he would love to be the one to comfort him, lmao!

I know where Haley is.

I now know, (view spoiler)

message 356: by Leea (new)

Leea Wendy F wrote: "I'm through about 25%. [spoilers removed]."

Wait till you meet her mom - wow!

I can't wait till we get a little Max and Gina :)

message 357: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Oh boy. I can't read much today so you'll probably finish before me. I'll get a lot read tomorrow though.

message 358: by Leea (new)

Leea It's really intense and I find myself having to take breaks. I don't know when i'll finish. It's just really getting good.

Regina, i'm wracking my brain wondering who the character you referred to is. Cosmo? Give me a hint? FBI or SEAL? haha!

message 359: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) LOL -- you know my preference for latino men. :) I didn't know that I would love him when I read about him in this book. But in his book, I LOVE him. Haha. He is a cop and appears in a scene with Gina.

message 360: by Leea (last edited Jul 01, 2012 10:33AM) (new)

Leea I figured he'd be latino... hahahaha! Haven't ran into Gina yet. I can't wait because (view spoiler)

message 361: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) On paper Alyssa and Max are perfect for each other. But love and passion have other plans!

message 362: by Leea (new)

Leea I think that Alyssa has wrongly misjudged Sam from the beginning and she starting to figure that out. His honesty is amazing to see, total leap of faith.

message 363: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I haven't read more. But, when I did read I was really hoping they came together sooner than other books. He really needs her.

message 364: by Leea (new)

Leea LMAO!! When Ric Alvarado (I found him :) (54%)(view spoiler)

message 365: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I know! Just more nails in the Gina and Max coffin -- or evidence for Max. :) That was definitely an awkward scene for many reasons.

Ric's book (is also Jules's book) is Force of Nature (Troubleshooters, #11) by Suzanne Brockmann

message 366: by Leea (last edited Jul 01, 2012 01:51PM) (new)

Leea Oooohhh! We only got a super small glimpse of Ric. I'll post a quote of how Max feels about Gina it's smokin' hot.

Learning about who Roger is breaking my heart. I'm back to being super emotional and crying at any emotional moment. so sad!

What book is Gina and Max? Mainly how many more do I need to read to get there lol!

message 367: by Regina (last edited Jul 01, 2012 02:04PM) (new)

Regina (reginar) It is so sad and hearbreaking about Roger/Sam. And that Alyssa doesn't understand this and calls him Roger. I loved the history flashback in this one. Please post the quote! I need a refresher.

Gina and Max's is coming up. So this one is 6. You need to do a 7 and 8 first (but they are good) and then it is Max and Gina (9 -- Breaking Point is their book):

Flashpoint (Troubleshooters, #7) by Suzanne Brockmann Hot Target (Troubleshooters, #8) by Suzanne Brockmann Breaking Point (Troubleshooters, #9) by Suzanne Brockmann

10 is decent -- I loved the side stories and the main story is good too Into the Storm (Troubleshooters, #10) by Suzanne Brockmann

11 is my man Ric's story and Jules -- it is one of my favorites: Force of Nature (Troubleshooters, #11) by Suzanne Brockmann

message 368: by Leea (new)

Leea Okay here it is @50% (view spoiler)

I absolutely love Gina. She's 24 and stronger than many women twice her age.

message 369: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) That brought tears to my eyes -- both the quote (which gave me shivers and then tears) and then your comment. They did share it. In a way, that made it easier for her to heal. It wasn't only her pain and someone else truly understood the evilness that happened to her. She is brave, from the moment she raised her hand on that plane.

Oh god, I love Max. I love his power, his suits, his presentation -- which is somehow very manly and his indecision and torment. I am not sure how many men in this series I can love Ric (you will see way later on, it isn't obvious in this one), Izzy (again - -he comes later on), Max - - oh and Jones. My 4 favorite men.

message 370: by Leea (new)

Leea I love Max always tries to do the 'right' thing but even with Alyssa he can't cross the line.

I was laughing at how he describes Gina, (view spoiler)

message 371: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I can't wait to catch up, lol. I wish I had more time to read today. I'll get a lot done tomorrow.

message 372: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I loved how her body was described. I think I remember Ric noticing her body?

message 373: by Leea (new)

Leea Yeah, he noticed her for sure.

Sorry Wendy! I'm on a roll and we're having a lazy day at home for the first time in ages so i'm reading a lot.

Now i'm at 75% (view spoiler)

message 374: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) AH! You're gonna get finished so fast, lol! I'll have to get it done tomorrow!

message 375: by Leea (new)

Leea I finished and I love it. Off to write my review...

Can't wait to hear what you think when you can read more tomorrow, Wendy!

message 376: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am so glad! A great resolution of the storylines, wasn't it?

message 377: by Leea (new)

Leea Yeah, it seems like the whole arch of the storyline is going to change. I can't wait to see what happens. (view spoiler)

message 378: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) The storyline definitely changes. But I think she had to. There will still be SEALS, FBI agents and negotiators -- but there is a new path as well. I like Tom and Kelly better in the other books than in their book!

message 379: by Leea (new)

Leea They have some charisma. I mean the way Tom looks at her, thinks about he and is totally and utterly in love with her. It's smoking hot! He's on of my favorite characters.

message 380: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm reading today. Tom and Kelly (view spoiler). Sam and Alyssa (view spoiler). This is an intense book, lol.

message 381: by Leea (new)

Leea I know... YAY!! I love Kelly, she's so take charge and independent and Tom loves that about her. They balance each other out. What about the scene with them in the beginning of the book with the peaches *blush*

Maybe Lys wanted it to happen again. Can we all say *chocolate syrup* haha!

yeah, the actions is kicked up a notch in this book for sure.

message 382: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) LOL, I love Kelly and Tom too. And I'm SO angry about what they're doing to him!

message 383: by Leea (new)

Leea Unfortunately sometimes within the military you are no innocent until proven guilty.

It all works out in the end... you will see.

Where are you at?

message 384: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm at 80%. I've been a reading Machine. I'm trying to finish it tonight.

I'm still so mad about Tom, lol. I know life works like this sometimes, but reading about it is still very upsetting. Just like I'm so upset about how (view spoiler). Realistically, I can see this happening. Emotionally it's truly upsetting me.

I love Sam, lol. I love Max.

message 385: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Finished!!!

message 386: by Leea (new)

Leea Yay!! What did you think?

message 387: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I thought it was AWESOME! I loved Ken's, but I loved this one a little more. There wasn't one story in it that I felt lagged. Sam/Alyssa was just as interesting as Gina/Max and the flashback story. I have to say, I'm going to miss those flashback's.

message 388: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I know Wendy, I was sad to leave them behind. But she always incorporates some history. For example, 8 I think it is about the making of a movie centered on a historical figure Hot Target (Troubleshooters, #8) by Suzanne Brockmann

message 389: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I think maybe I'm feeling like I'm going to miss them because the one in 6 was so well done. It didn't feel like a flashback out of place, it fit so well with the story.

message 390: by Leea (new)

Leea I love how the historical story ties into on or more of the current story lines. At the end of Gone Too Far, when Walter and Dot decided (view spoiler)

message 391: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Yeah they did. Noah's (view spoiler).

message 392: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Yes, (view spoiler)

message 393: by Leea (last edited Jul 03, 2012 09:04AM) (new)

Leea Yeah, I got that in the end I just don't remember them talking much about their son. I thought that was strange. (view spoiler)

message 394: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) So much loss.

message 395: by Leea (new)

Leea Thought I should post this here: Wendy and I started reading Flashpoint (Troubleshooters, #7) by Suzanne Brockmann ...

Slowly making our way through this series. I'm loving Tess and Nash :)

message 396: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I loved the new characters introduced and I loved the setting.

message 397: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) FYI for fans of this series, Suzanne Brockmann just posted on FB that she has a new book coming out in the TS world but it is a spinoff -- involving Martell from Froce of Nature and some FBI agents that work with Jules.

message 398: by Leea (new)

Leea Thanks Regina!!

message 399: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) OK, OK... you got me interested. I've got book #1 Unsung Hero and have started it. I'm also in the middle of a couple of novellas, so it's not a quick read for me. But I'm loving it so far - the bit about Joe and Charlie and WWII is probably going to break my heart, though.

I can always count on finding good reads around all of you!

message 400: by Leea (new)

Leea I loved the historical stories more than the contemporary stories in the first 2 books... so keep reading because the books build on each other. I hope you like it :)
