It really is a good movie and they definitely didn't lighten it up. Hope you like it, Marie!

Diana I liked Josh more than I thought I would, although at times he felt a little awkward. Sticking in the awkward field I kind of cringed when Liam showed up, something about his first lines didn't hit me the right way.
Other than that I loved it, although three things that I would have loved to see: (view spoiler) I flip-flop a lot when it comes to the guys so number 3 is what takes me back to Peeta.

I also liked the shaky camera and the commentary, it made it feel more like a reality show.
There were a few moments when I felt myself tear up a bit (but since that's usually anti-climatic for me I don't completely remember when other than the parade scene when they're on fire. That moment is when it all hit me.

Becca | 1608 comments Saw it, thought it was powerful, really liked it, except for the shaky camera at the beginning. I thought the shaky camera was appropriate in some parts, like when Katniss is going up the tube to the Games and after she gets stung by the tracker-jacker, but at the beginning it drove me batty and made me sick. It was such a relief when Katniss was in the shot, cause then the camera steadied and I could get my stomach under control.

Heidi The shaky camera was worse on the IMAX Becca! That was one of my only issues with the movie.

message 1556: by [deleted user] (new)

The shaky camera during the Reaping was the worst! It totally made sense during the Games but not the rest of the movie.

message 1557: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments Exactly Shannen! I was extremely motion sick during the Reaping.

Um...no...please, no...heck no...lol

I can't take this article seriously at all.

Becca | 1608 comments P.S. It's about casting for Catching Fire.

message 1560: by Melodie (new)

Melodie (melodieco) I like Pattinson myself, and find him VERY attractive, so this would probably be okay with me. I never had a real picture of Finnick in my head and he works as well as anyone I can think of. But, yes, PLEASE leave Kristen Stewart out of it....PERIOD!

message 1561: by Heidi (last edited Apr 23, 2012 05:26PM) (new)

Heidi I can't take that seriously. I doubt that he would go for a bit part in yet another YA series and I 100% agree about KStew! I am so upset she is in the new Huntsman movie because it looks super good and I already saw a clip with her annoying facial thing she does and it drove me batty!

message 1562: by Diana (new)

Diana That headline kind of upset me but after reading the article I couldn't help but smile; I really can't take it seriously. I don't care what kind of body he has (there's something I never thought I'd say) he's no Finnick.

And what does Kristen have to do with his working? What just because they're together they're a two for one deal now?

I don't know if anyone has seen this article about possible Finnicks also: http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-t...

I'm hoping they get a lesser known actor, the same way Jennifer Lawrence wasn't exactly a household name before.

As for the bottom note I think I can accept Mila Kunis as Johanna but I can not see Betty White in The Hunger Games. With that I can't help but wonder if the article is a joke.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments That article is ridiculous.

Though I have nothing against Robert Pattinson. His interviews are hilarious. He can have a role just not Finnick.

message 1564: by [deleted user] (new)

I agree, Cassi. Both articles are ridiculous. All of those actors are too big to take a part as small as Finnick.

I love Rob Pattison but don't think he should play any part in The Hunger Games.

Diana Has any one seen the pictures under FINNICK'S CHARACTER PAGE?

Again I'm really hoping for an unknown actor. And age appropriate too. What is Finnick like 24ish?

message 1567: by Yvonne (new)

Yvonne What do you guys think of Hayden Panettiere as Johanna and Chace Crawford as Finnick?

Diana Heidi wrote: "Who started that page! Ha! btw I love your avatar!"

Thanks.

I think a lot of characters have them from different books, you find them on the book's page under "more details" by the publishers info.
I don't know how they're made though.

Yvonne wrote: "What do you guys think of Hayden Panettiere as Johanna and Chace Crawford as Finnick?"

Yes, maybe to Hayden Pannettiere, not so sure about Chace Crawfrod; I think he'd have to grow on me. Much like Josh and Liam did over time.

Mathew Andreson | 1 comments It's a great effort to create such amazing content, and all of my friends really enjoy it. I have a trick to develop your reading ability. That is, keep your mind fresh and then read it. So you must spend some time playing games, whether they are physical or sitting at home. I recommend playing some video games and the best source is here: https://medsfit.com/ to grab videos according to your interests.
