I'm currently reading his book and yum-my! I love it that there's no character who has a book so far that I don't like and wanted to skip their story. She's really good at introducing and making readers love new characters :)

I didn't like Phury. He annoyed the hell out of me and most of the time I just wanted his twin to kick his @ss.

Gokce G | 52 comments LOL. I'm one of the people who actually liked his book. I'm not going to get into it now since there might be people who haven't read it, but yeah, I did like his book, and I thought his suffering was on a different level than the others which I liked to read about.

I did however love getting a look at Payne

Oh yes, she sounds interesting, and I really really liked Lassiter :) I hope she keeps writing, even though I don't know how JM's story will end, cause there are a lot of characters I'd like to read more about in their own books.

You should create a topic about BDB in the extras section. Maybe put "possible spoilers" in the title so people know that they might get spoilers. It seems like a popular series with our group! I haven't read them, but I really like the names.

Oh shoot! I'm so sorry, I didn't think I gave away anything, but next time I write about them I'll be bearing spoiler warnings just in case :)

message 58: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Haha, there weren't any spoilers! I was just saying that you should put "possible spoilers" because you said you wanted to talk about but didn't want to post spoilers. BUT that was only if you made a topic dedicated to the series.

I admit I'm curious. I want to see if it's worth the hype, lol!

I read some of the BDB books a month or so ago. The only one that really interested me was Vishous. His sexual "proclivities" were quite fascinating.

Oh I think it's definitely worth it! But then again I think my judgement is too clouded by too much Brotherhood to be trusted :) They ruined real men for me!

Yep, V is one of my favourite brothers, but then again it's really hard to choose just one. He was quite fascinating alright :)

I have the first BDB book on my list and checked to see what book Vishous is in. Are you telling me that I have to read four books before finding out what his procivities are?!

message 63: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Ok I couldn't take it, I made a thread in extra's. Here it is: BDB thread.

So let's talk about it there. Can you also please post your favorite one? My to be read pile is always looking for friends, lol.

Ok, I'm only writing this here because it's a reply. Shannen, I don't think you definitely need to read the previous books especially if you're only interested in one character. Every book revolves around one character in particular so all details are given in that brother's book. At least that's the impression I got.

Ok, I'm shutting up now and moving to the appropriate thread, promise!

No, you get glimpses of his "interests" in other books.

Well, since I haven't posted on here in a couple of days...EDWARD CULLEN!

message 67: by Heidi (new)

Heidi OMG Shannen! Don't you have a Wal-Mart or somewhere you need to go to so you can get New Moon at midnight? Tick tock - better get going - times a wasting :)

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

:P I saw the movie 5 hours before the midnight release (and saw it 5 more times after that) but I'm not going to the midnight release tonight. I know it's hard to believe! Going to see Alice in Wonderland 3D tonight so will just have to pick up New Moon in the morning.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

Forgot to mention that I am currently listening to the New Moon soundtrack for the SECOND time today. My co-worker and I have days where we just play it over and over and over. :)

message 70: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I am hesitant to admit this, but I actually own the Twilight soundtrack. If only the movie (and book) was as good as the music. p.s. Shannen I am floored that you are actually waiting until tomorrow to buy the DVD. That seems so out of character for you :) On the other hand I am saddened that you actually paid money to go to see it six times in the theater. Six times!

I found the New Moon soundtrack TERRIBLY depressing. In fact I think I said in my review on Amazon that if you listened to it too much you'd find yourself looking for some razor blades and bathtub of hot water. There are only about 3 or 4 songs on it that I liked at all, but Meet Me On the Equinox by Death Cab For Cutie was quite good.

I LOVE the Twilight soundtrack. It's in my car all the time and on my iPod, my computer at work and everything else.

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

My co-worker friend has seen it 10 times. You don't even want to know how many times she has seen Twilight. It's all about Edward, I'm telling you.

Both soundtracks are great. We took a break from the soundtracks a couple months ago when the Glee soundtrack came out but our infatuation with the Glee soundtrack didn't last very long.

message 74: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I love the Glee Soundtrack # 1. I was going to buy the soundtrack for New Moon because I liked Twlight's so much, but all the songs on it sounded way too depressing - like Melodie said, so I skipped it.

message 75: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (closer2coma86) | 83 comments Ahhhh... New Moon. When I get off work I'm heading to the store to buy it. I actually never even saw it in the theaters, so I'm super excited to FINALLY watch it!

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

I thought the New Moon soundtrack was depressing at first but there are so many good songs on it. Bought two copies of New Moon this morning, one of me and one as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. OME! (Oh my Edward!)

message 77: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Shannen - you won't beleive this, but I am watching New Moon right now. I only got it because the Redbox at the grocery store had it to rent for $1.00. My hubby is at work and would NEVER watch it, so I figured WTH it's a buck. Anway, I'm pretty picky about movies, so we shall see.

message 78: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Sure, sure Heidi. Just admit you were there for the midnight release. We'll still love you.

message 79: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Oh Peep. You caught me (NOT!). I would not waste more than than dollar I spent on that movie, in fact, I wonder if you can get refunds if you didn't like it. Hmmmmm. p.s. Blue Moon I wish I refused to watch it. I thought I would give Shannen the benefit of the doubt since she watched it SIX times. On a more positive note, that Taylor Launtner can actually act. The other two, not so much. Kristen Stewart mumbles too much and I thought there was a serious lack of chemistry between the leads. But mostly I could not get past the vamps colored contacts and powdered skin - it was too distracting!

I was going to get New Moon at the midnight promo at the Best Buy closest to me on Friday night, but we had a snowstorm so I didn't. Picked it up at Walmart yesterday. They had a special edition anyway. I totally agree about Kristen Stewart's acting talent...she has none! She is so wooden. I don't agree on the other 2, tho. I think Taylor Lautner is almost as bad as she is. Now, Mr. Pattinson, OTOH, I find mesmerizing.

Hehe! Can I just say that I love you, Melodie? ;)

message 82: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Melodie - I don't know if you have seen Adventureland, but Kstew acts the same in that movie as does is in Twlight(mubling, blinking, licking her lips), and I actually liked Adventureland. And girls - don't worry, I know better than to say anything negative about RPatz around here. The only thing I said was that they (he and Kristen) have no chemistry together. I have no problem with him in general.

I did see Adventureland and she sucked in it, too. I don't feel the chemistry between her & Rob either. It feels almost forced.

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments WOW... Heidi and I agree on something else. AMAZING. I also think that KStew and RPatz don't work well together. I feel like KStew is upstaged in almost every scene she happens to be in. It doesn't matter which actor is opposite her, your eyes just gravitate to them, not her, which is too bad.

Also we have to remember that this movie is geared toward teenage girls. So the quality isn't going to be that great. I went on opening night to see it in theaters with a friend who is also my age and we had SO MUCH FUN laughing at all the screaming teenage girls! We missed half the lines because of all the chatter. We already have plans to do the same for Eclipse.

message 85: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Brittany - you are right (see we can all get along here:). I shouldn't take it so seriously. Next time I watch anything Twilight related I will try to have your attitude. p.s. - you do have to admit though, that despite the fact that it is made for teenagers, there are actually well made movies made for teens.

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I think Brittany has the right idea. You can't go see the Twilight movies and expect the same quality as an Oscar-worthy movie.

As far as their chemistry is concerned, I think they are supposed to be kind of awkward with each other. She feels like she doesn't deserve him and keeps waiting for her dream to end and he is afraid of losing control and hurting her. Their chemistry in the books was also kind of odd, especially in the first two books. We'll see how it goes with the next movie.

I enjoyed Hush Hush and most likely will read it again. I posted a review (although it contains some spoilers) on Goodreads and on my blog at http://www.cheeriosandpearlsstories.b...

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments Heidi and Shannen - Thanks ladies! I highly recommend going to something like that on opening night (with the right attitude). I remember in New Moon when we see that first shot of Edward walking towards Bella in the school parking lot with all the wind and music... that was when I knew the kind of movie I was in for. From there it's all just fun.

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments And yes Heidi, you're right, it's true that there are movies geared toward teens that are very well made. However, how many of those well made movies get credit for being so? I'm not saying they couldn't have done a much better job (if it wasn't so rushed among other things), but I am saying, they know their target audience. Besides, it was a VAST improvement from the Twilight film. It actually had color, and you get to see multiple half-naked men. What screaming 14 year-old girl isn't going to love something like that?

So, my philosophy is to accept the phenomenon for what it is, embrace what I can, have fun with it, and disregard the rest (ex: I was in Target yesterday and happened upon the New Moon display which included shirtless Jacob dolls for sale. Really? There's no need for that!).

Because as you well know, it's impossible to escape.

Heck, what 30-something year old woman isn't going to love something like that? ;)

I agree, Brittany. It's all about having fun.

Noems (n0ems) | 4 comments I thought I was weird :), I'm glad I'm not the only one who drools over some of the characters!!

Draco Malfoy from Harry Pottter, the Bad Boy thing...

I totally agree with Victoria, we can't look over Eric from Sookie Stackhouse! Can't see what Sookie found in Bill....

Also Mr. Darcy is often mentioned....yep totally agree!!

All Brothers in the Black Dagger Brotherhood, although I do have a small preference for Phury and Wrath!

Erik from House of Night.

Samuel Cornick from The Mercedes Thompson Novels.
