I added the covers.Do you want the pages for the second book changed as well? They differ from the database and curios enough WorldCat also lists a different number (400 pages). Could there be any additional material to account for the WorldCat number? Just double-checking, because WorldCat usually lists it correctly. Of course I'll change it for you if that's the actual number for your copy. Even WorldCat can have false entries.
Thanks for adding the covers, Isabell.Regarding the pages on The Choiring Of The Trees, I have checked my copy of the book. It has 388 numbered pages (1-388), 8 blank pages and 8 title/explanation front pages.
I am not sure where WorldCat's 400 pages comes from as counting every page in my book does not match their number (388 + 16 = 404).
In counting pages, I followed the format for the numbering and counted front side and back side of the same leaf as two pages.
I don't know if you need librarian status to fix this or not, but I couldn't figure out how to do it on my own... I've found a book and e-book that aren't linked because they have slightly different titles in the database. The hardcover is Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece: Custom-Color Your Favorite Fibers with Dip-Dyeing, Hand-Painting, Tie-Dyeing, and Other Creative Techniques and the e-book is Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece.
And actually, neither of those titles is quite right. I have the hardcover in front of me and the title is Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece: Dip-Dyeing, Hand-Painting, Tie-Dyeing, and Other Creative Techniques.
Thanks!

Tiger's Curse, Tiger's Quest, Tiger's Voyage - all of these are part of the same series but are identified differently on GR. Is it possible to settle on one name for the series?
Bea wrote: "Tiger's Curse, Tiger's Quest, Tiger's Voyage - all of these are part of the same series but are identified differently on GR. They are all linked as a series, so it should count for any of the series tasks, though.
If someone can tell me what the official series name is, I would be happy to change it.
Updated them all to "Tiger Series" in the searchable title field. The series page has it listed as "The Tiger Series", which overrides it on each page so it will show as that when viewing the book page, but I figured "the" wasn't necessary as searchable data. It should all look consistent now.
I just bought a used paperback version of Wuthering Heights that does have an ISBN number--- but that number comes up with a different version--- different page numbers and cover picture. My question really is, how do I upload a picture so it can be added? I could take a picture of the cover but I don't know how to add that into this thread. Thanks
If you go to "My Account" under your profile picture there is a "more photos" link. If you upload it there, someone can grab it and you can delete it once the book has been added. :)
Here is the version I added. I did not put in the ISBN info because I'm not sure if those change or not.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...
The picture is in my profile.
The ISBN I have is 0789123045
Thank you

Can you double check that ISBN? It doesn't bring up any book for me, so I'm not sure what the conflict is.
Hello, I tried searching for my copy of '84, Charing Cross' by its ISBN on goodreads but it is not found here. However, it does exist here - http://www.borders.com.au/book/84-cha...Would it be possible to add it to the goodreads database? Thanks in advance!
I created it here. Before I combine it, does it also contain The Duchess of Bloomsbury? WorldCat has it in the title, but the cover doesn't say anything about it. So I wanted to double check! :)
Hi VickyThanks for the quick response! Yes, it does contain The Duchess of Bloomsbury. The total number of pages reflected on the link I sent you is wrong - it is 232 and not 256.
I got a CD set of Ender in Exile from the library and it isn't the same set as the one on Goodreads. The Goodreads one--- says 14 pages-- which is impossible--- it's a 12 set CD book
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34...
Mine from the libarary must be an older copy--- it is
also 12 discs
Here is the ISBN for my copy: 9780792756637
Here is the link to Amazon for the Goodreads one showing it is 12 discs long.
http://www.amazon.com/Ender-Exile-END...
Could you set up mine since that's the one I'll be using?
thanks
For audiobooks the page number field is not always used to show disc, but often also for the length in hours. With 12 discs, I find it quite plausible, that this value shows the length. It has already been changed by a librarian to that value, so I am very hesitant to change it again unless it is really wrong. Do you know how long the audiobook is in hours?Regarding your copy: I set it up for you here: Ender in Exile. Do you have any additional information concerning the publisher or year of publication? It's often on the back of the box or on the single CDs. Is it an abridged or unabridged reading? Do you have a cover image that's usable?
By the way, you can create new editions yourself, there is a link on every editions page for a book and on the search result page (manually add a book/create new edition). That is easier because you can add all that information yourself and just have to let us know for the needed combination.
This is what my library shows as the CD I checked out for Ender in Exile even though my actual cover is different. It's the very same length, mine is unabridged and the same people doing the speaking parts. So, can I just use the Goodreads one--- apparently it's the same thing with a different cover. I just need it for the title (Starts with an "E" and ends with an "E"-- and the appropriate length--- the hardcopy length).
Thanks

I just noticed that on the library site it says "14 hrs. long." Yet, the Goodreads one says "14 pages."I guess I'm confused. Any way you can help is great.
Kathy - The policy for audio books is to set the pages to the number of hours the audiobook is (rounded to the nearest hour). A book that is 13 hours 12 minutes long would be 13 pages. A book that is 13 hours 52 minutes long would be 14 pages. There's no box for hours, so you just have to remember that for audiobooks pages = hours. :)Bea - fixed!
Kathy G. wrote: "So, I'm good then? The CD version is long enough?"Yes, the entry is correct. As Vicky suggested, just think «hours» instead of pages.
mstan wrote: "Hi, this edition of American Psycho is supposed to have 399 pages."The entry is now correct.
