Susan A | 1665 comments Merry Christmas, Alex Cross is listed as 101 pages paperback

Merry Christmas, Alex Cross is listed as 400 pages

I'm pretty sure that first one is incorrect. There is no way this book be condensed inito 101 pages.

Susan A | 1665 comments Illumination is listed in goodreads library with 270 paperback pages.

The link you gave is for the ebook, which is at 307 pg and the page count exist in the ebook edition at GoodReads. The paperback though is at 270 pg, as I confirmed from other sites.

message 922: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 1665 comments Thanks for your help Elizabeth. SInce I am pressed for time, I also asked for help on the library thread at in the mm group.

Here is the argument going on over there: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

My question remains:
Doesn't this stuff I copied from from the publisher site http://www.riptidepublishing.com/titl...
refer to a paperback? And why would Amazon be more reliable than the publisher?

Print ISBN: 978-1-62649-051-2
Print release: Sep 30, 2013
Word count: 80,200
Page count: 307
- See more at: http://www.riptidepublishing.com/titl...

Regardless, since I want to get done by the early finishers deadline of Nov 15, I better just pick another book.

Bluemoon (bluemoon286) | 1797 comments I am currently reading What World is Left by Monique Polak. I am currently reading the paperback version. Could someone fix the paperback version.

What World is Left - paperback with incorrect description.

What World Is Left - ebook with correct descrption.

message 926: by Fandury (new)

Fandury | 957 comments I think this has been fixed, as both descriptions are identical now.

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 119 comments Of Mice and Men comes up as being published in 1388. I believe the correct date should be 1937.

message 928: by Fandury (new)

Fandury | 957 comments I think I found the problem. One entry was a Persian one and whoever entered this put in the Persian year as date of publishing. It should be fine now, hopefully.

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 119 comments Thank you for fixing that, Fandury!

message 930: by Donna Jo (last edited Nov 22, 2013 03:56PM) (new)

Donna Jo Atwood | 2412 comments Is there any way I can get the subtitle added to Princess Ben? ISBN 9780618959716
It only shows up in GR in the audio version, although it is on the title page of the book. Title/Subtitle is Princess Ben: Being a Wholly Truthful Acount of her Discoveries and Misadventures, Recounted to the Best of her Recollection, in Four Parts.

This is the third book I've read trying to meet this part of the task and would really rather not try to read another one.

Thanks.

message 931: by Bea (new)

Bea Donna Jo, the original title is listed as you requested. However, the policy is to list the title as it appears on the cover and that subtitle does not appear on the cover. Will the task creator accept the original title?

Sorry--I'm used to library cataloging where they use the title page. Never mind--I find a fourth book.

I added the cover and additional information and combined both version of the book. All should be fine now.

I also changed the pages on the second request to 400, as Amazon (at least the German one) confirmed the page length.

Please remember that for the SRC the length of the print version is the important one.

message 950: by Julie (new)

Julie Hi there! One of the books I am starting to read for the challenge is way off on page numbers.

Mortal Fear is listed as 622 pages, but it is really over 700!

You can confirm the actual page number via Amazon.....

Thank you!
