Are you chewing your soup with your mouth open? That could explain it...
PS. If you do go blind, could you let us know? I feel like that's some info I could use...
Yes, I do hate eating this particular Vietnamese soup around the block from my apt, you pay $7.00 and you get this huge aquarium with meat chunks and semi-polluted water, then you have to tough it out and eat it like the locals, so you squeeze about 4 oz of hot chili in it, and half way through this battle you are eating half soup and half of your tears/snot. It clears my lungs pretty good, and I can swear I get 20/20 vision for about 10 mins after having it.
