Not sure how many of you have voted on the various fantasy polls via Listopia, but thought I would list a few here for members to check out and do some voting.

You can vote for as many titles as you wish on Listopia (up to 100) and then sort them out on your own listing in preferred order (right hand side), so they get a score and then move either up and down in the main ratings.

This is our own group poll (this is not part of our monthly book reading polls):
Favorites of the Fantasy Book Club

Best Fantasy Book Covers

Best "Strong Female" Fantasy Novels

I was asked if lists can still have more titles added.

Yes, you can always add more titles to the list in your own favourites, which will then appear in main list if not there at present. The first page only shows the top 100 but there are additional pages listed at the bottom that you can scroll to. For example 'Favourites of the Fantasy Book Club' actually has 177 titles listed at present (but looks like only 100 as thats all that shows on first page).

Janny (jannywurts) | 807 comments JJ- there were so many more books I loved that were not on this list, I found it tough to vote on the ones I did like - how would I add my favorites to those already there? And yes, I went through all the pages.

Are favorites added to my own book list in some way, or must I figure whether they are missing and add them to the listopia list?

I am not familiar with the procedure. Clue me, somebody?

Janny best way to add the titles you have on the bookshelf for your profile, is to go to the Listopia list for the book club, at the right hand side it has 'Browse from my books', click that and then you can vote on them. Then below that section you will see your voted books and can set them in order preference of which you like best by rearranging the numbers in the box, then just scroll the page a fraction and it will set the position.

You can add up to 100 favorite books, which are then calculated for then main list depending on your positioning of the titles in your own list. Hence the main listing is always increasing as readers add new favorites in preferencial order.

Hope that helps.

Janny (jannywurts) | 807 comments JJ - thanks. I added books, not sure about preferential order - I find it hard to grade stuff! But at least more of my favorites are on the list. I've read so many! Not nearly a fraction of my library of fantasy is listed, here. It would make a huge job.

Janny, interesting selections you have added. I see you have many by Guy Gavriel Kay in your votes. Yes its hard to grade titles. I can just imagine your huge list of titles, that would take some work.

JJ - if I visit the loft where the library is, I could add another heap of favorites, then again. Easily.

Kay is one of those authors that 'sets the bar' for me, definitely.

I cannot grade titles, period. The ones that wow me won't be ranked - they are stellar in their own right, and, in a class by themselves for their originality.

I find it hard to grade titles also, to me they are either, I liked them, loved them or couldn't finish them. I can imagine that loft full of books from years of collecting!

That loft has a choice collection, oh yes! I've only saved those I'll read again, or the ones that are signed.

Gustav Lembke Quite impressive that #53 on fantasy bookclub favourites haven't been published yet!

The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss is highly anticipated within the group, hence the pre-release votes.
