More rain on the way :-(

Last year we had a drought. This year we have too much rain. The peonies are in full bloom and rain is on the way. They will be destroyed. It happens every year but I don't give up. ha! The poppies are starting to bloom. I so love poppies. I love plants that scream at you and the poppies with their garish colors certainly do. I notice that the clematis blooms are much larger this spring. I wonder if it's the Espoma rose fertilizer I used. (I have nothing to do with the company) I think I am chatting on way too long. I hope you all are enjoying your spring.

more rain for us today too! between this past friday & monday we've already had 5 inches of it!

now one chats on too long here! (as little or as much as you like is fine!)

i'm getting ready for the town yard sale tomorrow! so far i've got more books & votive candles than anything else! i hope most of it goes! (and goes early so i can take a look around town for myself!)

We've been having lots of rain, too. Makes it hard to get out and enjoy the garden and frustrating when there are so many big projects I want to be out there doing. Digging new beds the day after some rain is perfect. Too bad those perfect days have been falling when I have to be at work. My peonies haven't started blooming yet, and neither have my poppies nor my clematis (though the new ones I just planted have). Just about the only thing that I'm religious about fertilizing are my roses (and my houseplants). I should probably fertilize some other stuff, too. I like to use only organic products.

and now it's sunny but downright chilly! i'll be going outside this afternoon regardless to try & clean up a little! (been lots of heavy wind too!)
