I really enjoyed the third section of the book. It was exciting, and fun. I was surprised that Shay was turned to a Pretty. I also like the whole "The Smoke Lives" sign in the air. That was cool! I thought there was a lot of lessons in this chapter about the environment, egos, the use of oil, I kinda got tired of reading about that. But it was still a good thing for a YA novel.
