Have we ever gotten a definitive answer on variations on Throw? I'd like to read the book, Throwing Heat by Nolan Ryan.

I'm currently reading No Applause--Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous and really enjoying it - it's not something I ever would have read (probably because I just wouldn't have run across it), but it came up on a search at my library of books with "throw" in the title. It's interesting, includes a lot of cultural history involving the history of theatre, music (blues and jazz) and so on.
