Go over SAT vocabulary or party it up in Miami? Danielle Hollis is faced with a very tough decision for what to do for spring break.

However, with the invite from her older sister and two very persuasive friends, Danielle finds herself in an airport, with the thought that maybe her bags had the right idea not coming to Miami. Of course, the loss of her bags is another story, planned out by a few conspirators who wanted to preven

So much depends on the characters. In Spring Fling Sabrina James uses again her successful multiple-point-of-view recipe and introduces us to a new set of girl protagonists from North Ridge High who accidentally vacation door-to-door with five boys from South Ridge High. With the exception of already familiar gossip queen Mindy Yee, who revealed some surprisingly normal, human traits, all girls and boys annoyed me most of the time and didn't arouse my interest the rest of the time. I flipped spe ...more

Read this in 2 days and sure it was a funish read but tbh, other than Ava, I really didn't like the characters. It was just bleh.

Thoughts 1:

Thus far I have only finished the first chapter, but my first thought was that it reminded me of a fanfiction. Of what fandom, I do not know, but it just seemed very reminiscent of fanfiction writing. I have not decided if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but the main character is already rubbing me the wrong way.

Thoughts 2:

Guys DO NOT talk to each other like that. They do not say another guy looks like a model cannonly, nor do they chit chat about guys treating their girlfriends

Have you ever wanted to feel different and better, or be something you’re not for a while? It can be nerve wracking at first, but then you’ll begin to enjoy the new you. The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because I actually managed to finish it. And I liked the idea of a house of girls living next to a house of boys.

This books was so annoying! Everything was so dramatic! Just drama after drama after drama.

Everyone was described a certain way (e.g. Danielle: a bookish girl who doesn't care about her looks or anything like that) but none of them acted the way they'd been described (Danielle ends up becoming obsessed with her looks and gossip and juggles tw

I read this awhile back and forgotten to add it to my goodreads.

2.2

It definitely was an easy read. The writing is simple and so is the flow. With that said, it's a book that we shouldn't expect for plot twists and a big bomb that's gonna be dropped. Spring Fling is just a story of a group of girls going to Miami for their spring break. I had my expectations very low and I wasn't surprised by the scenes that were to come.

I didn't feel any attachment to the characters. If you were to ask me who'

There are many main characters in this book, but one of them are Danielle. She is this shy 17 year-old. She does not know what to do during the break. Her sister and her friends persuade her to go on vacation with them. Then she meets this guy named Ethan and he kind of lies about his identity. As Danielle goes and meets more people. She turns from a shy person to a gregarious person.

This book has literally been on my to read list forever, well technically since I was like thirteen, but I cannot find a copy or so. Finishing this book felt more of like an accomplishment to me. After what it seems like four years, I have finally crossed it off my list. Phew. Sorry for the semi-rant! It hurts me to say that this book let me down. I guess I expected a lot more than was possible. The plot was nice, and the idea of the story was great.. It's just that a lot escalated quickly and t ...more

I wasn't expecting to be wowed by this book but I thought it would at least be cute and entertaining. Unfortunately, it didn't even meet my low expectations. There were too many story lines going on at the same time, none of which I found engaging enough. The story was narrated from multiple POVs - five if I'm not mistaken - and the funny thing was, they all sounded the same. There was no character distinction AT ALL. The girl characters were shallow and the guy characters sounded like girls. To ...more

You caught me. I wanted a little romance after reading some actions books and this was perfect. My first thought was, how clean can a spring fling in Florida over Spring Break vacation really be? I was pleasantly surprised. (No one comes home pregnant.) Many of the girls and guys match up great. Each girl and guy has issues to work through, but it isn't overwhelming. Except for Mindy, I feel so sorry for her (or real girls like her.) I don't understand people who want to be so popular that they ...more

2 stars because it was ok.
If I'm not mistaken, Ethan and Danielle were talking about movies then I see the names "Anne Hathaway and Zac Efron" and then "High School Musical." Am I missing something because I don't remember Anne Hathaway in HSM.

Thoughts~
1) Too much characters and too much exclamation points.
2) It was a cute read until Rory and Ethan fought. Ugh, so cliche.
3) Characters seem to have the same personalities and cliche backgrounds except for Ava who is the most dramatic among all

Once there they meet up with two other groups of kids who happen to be from the same town. With romantic twists and turns at every page along with teenage mean-girl drama, this story shows that the possibilities are endless when it comes to Spring Break! "Spring Fling" is about a couple of groups of students from 2 different high schools in New York who go to Miami for spring break. Several of them decide to pretend to be different people for the break and a few of them are out to impress different people for different reasons. I love this author's style of intermingling the characters and how they all fit together. It did bother me, however, that all most of these students wanted was a fling and to be kissed. There was a lot of speculating--"sh ...more

This book was a cute and fast read!
I love Sabrina James as my cheesy inner romance author, when I get tired of my serious books. I love her concept of different stories in one, its really exciting and keeps you laughing and entertained the whole time! There are tons of little gleeful moments as well. Sabrina James relates to tons of girls in this book with daily problems that girls go through as well that boys go through! Definitely recommend for days on the porch to squeal and girl out over :)

This is such a plastic book. Everything seems to go perfectly from the beginning, no problems at all. We barely get to know the characters, and they seem to have perfect lives. Danielle, who is a big nerd, needs only a haircut and a dress to look gorgeous apparently, even pageant queen material. They all just seem so shallow and uninteresting. I only finished his book because I was bored and wanted to read a brainless chick lit book. Don't pick this up if you want something even slightly meaning ...more

I found this book as very cheesy romance but somehow I learned to love it! If you are a girl that dreams about boys drooling over you then this is a perfect book for you. It is about three developing couples that want to see where spring break in Miami might hook them up. The North Ridge High girls and the South ridge high boys start hitting it up and some of them have relationships by the end of the book and some don't. You will have to read and see!

Spring Fling is a book about some high school students and best friends who want to have fun during spring break. All the friends except Danielle who wants to, instead of have fun, study for her exams. What will her friends do to make her have fun and maybe even have a spring fling? This book was good because it talk's a lot about teenagers are age and how they have fun during spring break and give you lots of ideas for maybe having your own fun during spring break.

A cute rom com story. I should have read the ones that came before it first though, since I think I ruined the endings of some of those in this one. At least I know the girls talked about a few of the couples from the books before. Anyways, kinda predictable as is expected but a fast summer beach type read.

Simply adorable. I switched to this book while reading another- knowing that it would be 'fluffy' and exactly what I expected from a book- and I was right. Cute, adorable, but at the same time, totally realistic- I wish we all could find our 'Cooper' or 'Ethan' (or Mr. Darcy, or Edward).
