I am starting a Laurie LeClair Once Upon a Romance marathon. My goal is to read all the books in the series. I am not going to set a time limit because she is always adding new books to the series. So far there are 15 books in the series. I have read two so far. I am on book 3
My main effort will be to get caught up to the most recent book with in the year (July 2019 to July 2020). I set a year because I might read a few self help books in between the marathon.
As a self proclaimed fairytale nerd, I love reinventions of the classics. I am also excited about the new live action Little Mermaid movie Disney is putting out. I think there is a Maleficent (Sleeping beauty) movie coming out this October as well...I am excited about that one too.
Yep one of the best Rogue to Hero books out there.

I recently read Sophie Kinsella's latest publication: I Owe You One
and was pleasantly surprised. I say this because I was a big fan of Sophie Kinsella at one time. The first five or six books of her Shopaholic series and her standalones:
—Twenties Girl
—The Undomestic Goddess
—Can You Keep a Secret?
. . . are among my favourite romantic comedies. (Saving I've Got Your Number for later to read as a special treat. My friend assures me it's as good as the books I mentioned above :-)
But then her writing just seemed to have lost its spark. The later books of her Shopaholic series didn't appeal much, and her standalone: Wedding Night actually felt like it was written by someone else! I simply stopped reading her books altogether.
I'm glad I picked up I Owe You One, though. It wasn't a five-star read, but I could see some of her original spark in the book. Looks like I'm going to get my favourite romcom author back after all :-)
