♡ Jeri's Book Attic ♡ Jeri the Romance Bibiliophile ♡ (jeritaliaryan) | 1 comments I'd like to bring some Books to your attention ...
I read them and loved them to pieces

The Author is Holly Blackstone
It is a series and the last one will be out soon
An Accidental Affair
The Air I Breathe
Step Across the Rubicon
Banish the Darkness

I am not a native english speaker/reader but I believe they are well written - and even if the POV the book's are written in are at first confusing - you should give them a fair chance - because this way of writing will contribute in a big way to the flow of the story.

message 2015: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Interesting, Jeri. Several people mention something different going on with the POV with that series. Wonder what it could be?

Janeiowa Just finishing up #2 in the Lone Pine Lake series,

Tempting Cameron Tempting Cameron (Lone Pine Lake, #2) by Karen Erickson

and now on to what is labeled as a novella and numbered 2.5 Loving Mindy (Lone Pine Lake, #2.5) by Karen Erickson Loving Mindy

I'm hoping for more additions to this series. It reminds me of the Gansett Island series by Marie Force, or Lucky Harbor by Jill Shalvis.

When I Was Jane

This book is so unbelievable I am reading it for a second time. It is "technically" listed as psy thriller but the LOVE STORY in her is amazing. so is the humor and the inspiration.
Best book I have read in a long long time

Shay (shaylyn318) | 66 comments Reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and LOVING IT!!!!! It is part of my goal to read more classics. I am thinking Jane Ausetn isn't for me though, I have read two of her books and they are sooooo boring. Jane Eyre is a much easier read and a much more likable character.

message 2030: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Loved Jane Eyre. I agree about Jane Austen. They were harder to get through for me. A lot of the older classics are hard for me because they use more description and details and use language and words I'm not always familiar with.

message 2031: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Loved Jane Austen, loved her sister Anne's Agnes Gray, but could never get through Emily's Wuthering Heights (which I have attempted twice). On the other hand, I love everything I've read by Jane Austen, with the exception of Emma, which I have attempted twice.

message 2032: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I couldn't get into Wuthering Heights heights, either. I think it is Lisa (Aussie Girl)'s fav, though, right?

message 2033: by Carol (new)

Carol Dobson | 402 comments I also loved Jane Eyre. Evidently Charlotte Bronte used to say about Jane Austen,"Where are all the bonny brooks?"

Shay (shaylyn318) | 66 comments I currently have Jane Eyre, 1984 and The Language of Flowers started. Then Rebecca came in the mail today and I want to start it. LOL. I usaully read one book at a time but I have so many tbr books that I just can't help starting more. I started Jane Eyre before The Thirteenth Tale, was bouncing back and forth between them for awhile.

Finished it today and while it was a sold 4 for me I'm beginning to get a little annoyed with the 2 of them. Eva for being a whiner and Gideon for not opening up. I will read the last one because I want to finish it.

Right you are, LK - I just read it again and it still stands up but it's not really a romance. More a study in obsession and revenge. For a more romantic classic, I read Jane Eyre. Yep, definitely a Bronte Sisters gal more than Jane Austen.

message 2048: by Deanna (new)

Deanna (anovelglimpse) I just finished You Really Got Me (Rock Star Romance, #1) by Erika Kelly and liked it. I think I'm going to read Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty next.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Rock Star romances seem to be very popular right now, Deanna. GTK you liked that one.

message 2050: by Jonel (new)

Jonel I'm hoping to read Barefoot in Pearls (Barefoot Bay Brides Trilogy, #3) by Roxanne St. Claire this afternoon. I'm also 'reading' Magic Kingdom For Sale/Sold (Magic Kingdom of Landover, #1) by Terry Brooks , the audio cd, in my car right now. It's definitely a comical change of pace from all the romances I've been reading of late.
