Kari | 1791 comments Thanx Nam, did you read it too? I'm getting into the story now. I'm where she's calling him: "You crawling vermin! You viper from Hades!" She does have a way with words... lol

namericanwordcat | 591 comments I so don't remember this. I have been afraid to reread her afraid she would be ruined for me like much of Devereux has been. I still like the Taming despite myself lol.

Just read my first Susan Mallery since category romance days. It was excellent. All Summer Long (Fool's Gold, #9) by Susan Mallery

message 1357: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) Recently finished What Happens in Scotland by Jennifer McQuiston and I really liked it. I laughed out loud many times and really came to love this couple. Looking forward to the next book. I also finished listening to Blood Red Road (Dust Lands, #1) by Moira Young another good YA book.

Now reading Romancing Mister Bridgerton (Bridgertons, #4) by Julia Quinn which is now one of my favorite series! I'm listening to Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis so far it's pretty good.

Melissa Ugh, I just finished The Fallen Snow by John J. Kelley and loved it now I can't decide what I want to read nexxt! I have 15 books stacked on my "I want to read these next shelf" to pick from!

The one that has been on it the longest is The Rise of Nine (Lorien Legacies, #3) by Pittacus Lore so I think I'll be reading that one.

namericanwordcat | 591 comments Read Catch of the Day by Kristan Higgins last night. I am torn about Higgins. She veers into women's fiction like Carr does for me. Need more of a HEA and more time with my couples but at the same time they write compelling books.

message 1364: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (chibilee02) Enjoyed Austentatious by Alyssa Goodnight , now will move on to The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die by April Henry

Melissa, it was very cute and frothy. The plot is simple, boy meets girl. But Eva Lefoy's writing style is really fun.

namericanwordcat | 591 comments I read Fight With Me (With Me in Seattle, #2) by Kristen Proby wrote a really long review lol. I tend to do that when a book has promise. This one didn't work for me really but it worked enough that I will read more of her books. If you like piercings, this is your book. lol Oh, that is not the part that did not work for me--though I am not sure I would be a huge fan.

Ohh Sandra, I'm totally hooked, I think I'll have to finish this today!!

message 1398: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 591 comments I read Real (Real, Raw & Ripped, #1) by Katy Evans a couple days ago. I liked it more than I thought I would. I actually loved the descriptions of the h doing her job. With the new adult books, the writers really pour everything into the description of the hero and are written from the 1st person. I agree the descriptions of Remington are good. This is good popcorn for me.

I read Beast by Pepper Pace Loved it. A really great book.

message 1399: by Melissa (new)
