Thanks Julie! I am enjoying it so far. More so than some other stand alones (not that I have read many)
I'm reading Untamed by Pamela Clare. I really like her style. It's not as light as Garwood's Highlanders, but I still really enjoy them. I'm trying to find out when the next book comes out, but I don't even know its name!
Started Outlander the other day. I'll probably read something lighter at the same time, but I haven't decided on anything yet. Maybe Changeless.

I have surrender and untames in TBR and need to get started on them :)

Absolutely. I could have loved Phury, but after what he did to Cormia, leaving here there in the theater while he went to interview Layla... that was more than I could forgive.Z is and always will be my favorite.
Yes, Phury really was at rock bottom there for a while! I want to read Z's book again because I loved it, but I don't know if I want to go through the terribly sad parts.
Z's story is a hard one to read, especially the years he was.... you know. Even the WARDen says his is the only book she'll never read again.
Exactly, that's why I don't want to read it because of those parts. Maybe one day. I am sure it was emotional torture for her to write it. It was hard to read it, but one cannot help but empathize, sympathize, and love Z.

I absolutely loved Where Dreams Begin Julie!!!! It is one of my top LK favorites.

I hate it when that happens! :)

You know Z, always thinking he's not good enough. It has one of the most beautiful endings I've ever read.
Z is my absolute favorite hero ever.
Just finished Leap of Faith by Arianna Hart. Not my fave by her but still a good read. Fast paced with not a lot of back story. The romance and suspense are nicely balanced and just a touch of humor without it being overly cheesy. Now reading Naked Vengeance by Sophia Rae
The series has been a something very different for me, but in a good way. It's science fantasy with a primitive medieval society combined with futuristic technology. The romance isn't exactly front and center, but there's plenty of action, adventure, political intrigue, religious conflict, and betrayals to keep it very interesting. It's kind of like watching a good sci-fi movie.;-) I've really been enjoying the books so far. I never would have known about them if I hadn't met the author at a local festival. She's quite talented IMHO.
The end of the month is coming and I'm scrambling to read several books in the next few days. Book overload!
Just read 2 by Anna Louise LuciaRun Among Thorns and Dangerous Lies
I really liked them. The author is British I believe and some of the phrasing seemed odd to this American but I understood what she was saying. The books are romantic suspense and are related by characters (brother and sister). But the stories are stand-alones.
read Texas Destiny by Lorraine Heath and now reading Texas GloryI don't have the 3rd in the series yet.

All three of these are on my wishlist! There is a volume with all three that I hope to get from PBS.

How did you like it Pamela? This trilogy is one of my favs.
I started The Black Dagger Brotherhood: An Insider's Guide by J. R. Ward over the weekend. I read "Father Mine" which was absolutely wonderful, and now I think I may read something else. I have a very crowded reading list for May, and it will make the rest of the book last longer.;-)

Well, I liked it enough to grab the next one in the series :)
But really, I did like it. Not totally wow'd because of the h/h not fighting for what they wanted. They were willing to give in to what they believed was the "right" thing to do, even though it was the wrong thing to do. Plus the way these men keep it all inside and they never knew the issues the other had all those many years. I like that Dallas is a little more "alpha" and take charge so this one is going great so far.
It's good that it made you want to continue. I've heard that same complaint from other readers. I guess I just saw it differently, and their choices did keep me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen and how they would get together in the end. I also adore beta heroes, so Houston and Austin's books were my favs in the series, and Dallas' book was the one that was a slight notch down for me, although still great.:-)

I guess I just felt it didn't need to play that long. I'm only about a 1/4 through Dallas' story. He's not perfect either but I just love the alphas.
I was at the library a few days ago and saw Blue-Eyed Devil and Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas and decided to go ahead and give em a try. I read Sugar Daddy but wasn't too impressed with the chick-lit with barely a dash of romance feel. But I'm reading Blue-Eyed Devil and its a little better. It feels closer to what a romance should be when written like chick-lit.
Starting on my 1st May Flower challenge for this group, Early Dawn by Catherine Anderson. Chosen for the challenge because it has flowers on the cover.

BED was the best of the series imo, but followed closely by STS. As for SD, the background was good for BED, but I found it by far the weakest of the series for romance content.
Melanie wrote: "Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "I was at the library a few days ago and saw Blue-Eyed Devil and Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas and decided to go ahead and give em a ..."Yes, I agree. I put off trying them because of the 1st person POV but found that didn't bug me as much as I thought it would. SD seemed way too much like chick-lit to me and not really a romance at all. I didn't like how it started when she was still a child and went through so many years. I think I'd read where the other 2 got better and broke down and gave them a chance and I'm really glad I did. They still don't make my faves list but they were worth reading after all.
I did not actually read any of them, but listened to them all on audio. I am much more tolerant of 1st person POV in audiobooks. Excellent "voice actors" made them all enjoyable, but again, BED was my fave.
I have been on a Harlequin oldie spree LOL! They are always good when I can't decide what to read next!
Double Play by Jill ShalvisPretty good so far. Not really a sports fan but it's really all about the romance :)

I'm reading the science fantasy romance White Tiger by Vijaya Schartz. Even though it came out last Aug., the author sent me an ARC, so I could get up to speed for reading her new one in the series that was just released last week. The romance is a little low-key, but the fantasy part is good so far.
