I just started Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall by L.J. Smith. It seems like its going to be good but starts off kind of wierd. But we will see.

It's better to read the Night Huntress series otherwise you won't understand the relationship between the characters or the kind of world its set in so you might find it a bit weird. So I would recommend you read the Night Huntress ones first.
