I have a question. Can an interracial challenge story or online interracial stories be included in this challenge? We do have writers on here that writes for challenges or even on their Goodreads home page.

My thoughts:
They'd have to be novel-length (at least 100 pages or 45,000 word count), at least in my opinion. I don't know that it would be fair to count short stories in the same categories as novel-length books. Plus, you would have to have started reading them on or after January 1st. You couldn't count any that you started reading prior to that date.
Anyone else have an opinion?

I'm talking about new stories. I hope the writers on here are planning on doing a future challenge story.
Some writers put stories on their home page. Can those be read in January? Of course, they will need to be completed stories too.

Well.... I would have to agree with Danielle about them having to be novel length. We could poll the group/ participants closer to the start date. What do you think about doing something like that?
I know its only the first of the month, but I was wondering if we should do some sort of announcement for our challenge, and then a reminder at the end of this month since it'll start in January. Or, do you guys think its too soon for anything like that?
Okay, I've found out that this book is interracial by looking at Danielle's categories for it. I was going to read a different genre, while I'm away for the next three days, but I'll wait to read this book in January for the interracial challenge.
.

Michelle, I think it's a good idea to make the announcement for the challenge now.

I am soooooo sorry that I am just now seeing your posts! I don't know why, but I'm not getting my goodreads email updates anymore. It's about 1:30am, and I'll be happy to send out an announcement in the morning when I'm not so tired.

Hi. I sent out the event/ announcement, and created a new thread. Let me know if you'd like for me to make any changes. I extended the end date to July 1, because I was thinking of 6 actual reading months. Let me know if you think I should change it. Have a great day =)
It sounds good to me Michelle. I know that I will be rereading interracial books that I have and a few new ones.
Here is a thread that lists books of various themes. It is a work in progress!
