Same book twice?

Is there a way to merge two books into 1? Its the exact same book twice, I created this:

but apparently someone now created this other one:

What should I do?

In order to merge two editions together, first you need to combine them (in this case, it looks like the bad one will also need its author name corrected) and then you need to delete the one that you don't want to keep. If it's on the shelves of more than five users, you'll need to post in the "please delete this book" thread asking a superlibrarian to do the actual deletion. This will move all of the users over to the correct edition. (Official instructions are here.)

If you're not comfortable doing this, you can ask another librarian to help you -- I just wanted to leave the option for you!

I merged them.

You can do that next time; start by editing the authors to match (no space between initials). Then combine, and delete the one with no ISBN.

I'm trying to do it again but cant seem to get it right! This time they seem to be equally popular books. I changed the Author's name to match (it was Allyson in one) but cant figure out what to do next?

1. Combine the books.
2. Make sure that any extra information on the bad edition record is copied to the good edition record.
3. Double-check that the books are combined.
4. Double-check that all information is copied.
5. Open the edit page for the bad edition, scroll to the bottom, and click on the "delete this book" link.

I did it! Thanks!! But I can't delete the bad edition...

It looks like this is because it has more than five users who have it shelved (even though only one has rated it). You might as well do the final step, then:

6. If too many users have shelved this book for you to delete it yourself, post in the "please delete this book" thread with a link to the book page of the bad edition and ask a superlibrarian to do it.

is the same book as this one:

but the second is with a goodreads author and the first is the audio and paperback edition. how do i combine them?

The GR author has two spaces between his first and last names. Edit the first one to add a space in the author's name, and then you'll be able to combine them.
