It's awesome.... the music is great, but it's so tongue in cheek and so well done... I've watched it a few times! LOL!

We've had some cold Memorial Day weekends here, but this is NOT one of those years. Yesterday was actually pleasant, only in the 70s, but today we set a new record high of 94F. Guess it's a good thing they canceled the full marathon today (entrants were automatically transfered to the half run). They have opened the swimming pool at our apartment complex, but I haven't used it in years. Can't handle the 1001 screaming kids. I stayed inside where it was nice and cool (even without the AC on!) and read, watched a movie and caught up a bit online.
Tomorrow...I roast, as we have the annual cookout at a friend's. Supposed to be around 90 again, but with the added bonus of possible severe storms. Yippee!
(Sunscreen...check. Hat...check.)
Speaking of...did anyone else attempt to watch the annual National Memorial Day Concert on PBS? First time I can ever recall it being pre-empted by severe weather. Hope everyone in the path of storms was safe!

Today was beautiful! 78 degrees, no wind. A lovely weather day. We got a lot accomplished, too. Yesterday my husband changed the brakes on my car, then today we hooked up a waterfall fountain in my front flower bed. My BFF was moving and couldn't take it with her, and they paid $700 for it and didn't want to leave it for the new owners, so she just gave it to me. She helped move it over here and today we got it all situated and it's so, so pretty!Tomorrow is just a kick back day!
It was a scorcher here yesterday. 94 degrees. Hubby ended up having to work today. :( We were going to grill. Maybe we will if he gets off earlier enough.
finally finished the spring semester.. more time to read now =] though with all my other plans i wont finish all the books till September xD
I went to town and stopped by McD and got me a quarter pounder w/cheesse and a side salad. nom nom...It's another scorcher!!!! Please do some rain dances for us. We need rain bad!
The truth in dare thing about 50 shades reminded me... I was in Hastings this weekend and asked an employee (young man) where the romance section was. I saw it and said nevermind and he answered. "50 Shades of Grey is over here." lol. I said "Oh, I'm not interested in those." He replied "Thank God!"

I'm trying so hard to lose weight, so if we're out getting fast food, I'd get this hamburger from Carl's JR because I assumed it would be lower cal. It's a bun, hamburger patty, onions, ketchup and mustard... 500 calories!!!!!!!! 5.0.0. Seriously??? No mayo or sauce, no cheese, nothing... 5.0.0.
Its insane when you look at the calories count for fast foods! The only way I can not feel bad about eating a quarter pounded from McDonalds is if I run a marathon first!
I was just showing my husband the Carl's Jr nutritional information thing this morning. His favorite thing on there is the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. 1,000 calories and 1,700 mg sodium. Now that one I can understand... cheese, bacon, bbq sauce... but what really threw me was this...So the Big Burger, just the bun, meat, ketchup, mustard and onion was almost 500, but the Hand Breaded Chicken Tender sandwich is 450! That sucker's deep fried!!!!! AND TASTES BETTER!!!
Anyway... I need to stop collecting those nutritional guides. Makes me want to give up eating all together.
I know how you feel! I ate a salad from Mcdonald's once, and was shocked to find that it had more calories than the Chicken nuggets! Talk about ironic!

I can get this awesome chicken salad from Pollo Loco that's under 300 calories, but add the creamy cilantro dressing and it's 600!!!!!
I hate counting calories, I know I have to and its good for me but its kinda depressing how all my favs have so many calories in them!I was so excited about coming in at the 1100 calories per day my dr wanted one week until it was pointed out I didn't figure in the calories for my juice and tea that I drank! GRRR!
About a year ago my daughters and I went out for a girl's night and decided to go to dinner. The restaurant had the calories on the menu, as is now the law, and it really ruined the evening for us.
Yes, restaurants and fast food places have to provide you with nutritional information. If it's not on the menu or the order board, they have to have pamphlets available to hand out. I'm in CA and I know you are, too, and I thought it was a federal law, but if not, it's a state law for sure.

From an article:April 3rd, 2010
The health care reform bill that President Barack Obama signed into law last month requires that chain restaurants -- defined as eateries with 20 locations or more -- post the calorie content of their offerings on menus or menu boards. The establishments are also required to post information on how a certain menu item's calorie content stacks up against daily calorie requirements. Other nutritional information, such as fat content and carbohydrate content, must be available upon request. Items that aren't listed on the menus, like temporary specials or custom orders, would be exempt from the guidelines.

I don't want to worry about calories when I'm dining out trying to relax and have fun with friends. I live in MO and I haven't noticed the calories on the menus.
I normally just eat whatever I want and then I go for a jog but this tummy I still have is telling me that's not working.
