Mango champagne sounds delish.

I have just sent prosecco and chocs to a niece as a birthday present but I have never drunk it myself. Tasted Pineau the other day for the first time (not Pinot, that is from a different region) and it was one of the most delicious drinks I have ever tasted.

I love that they worked so hard on the backgrounds, too. Those expressions. LOL!

I love the amount of effort they put into recreating the scenes, and double YES on the expressions on their faces! TOOOO funny!!
Welcome back, sweetie. I hope you had a great time!

Lizzie and her TeaBooks wrote: "My first day of my work placement today. Very exhausted :lol."Work is exhausting whether it's the first day or the 4th or 5th. I wish we didn't have to work at all. I wish we could just lie aboutst reading books and eating bon-bons all day. Or gardening... I'd do gardening all day. And family history... I'd do family history all day.
Remember that saying, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy? Well, ANY work that interrupts play makes Moi cranky.
Oh well. Do as Lisa Kay says and get some rest. **hugs**
I am super excited! I won the grand prize drawing at my town library's summer reading program! A new laptop and tickets to the Kansas City Renaissance Fair! All for reading a book and filling out a card about it. This is perfect. My son, who is in the Navy, just told me that his PlayStation was stolen and he wanted to replace it with a laptop so he could play his games on it whenever he wanted without having to wait for a TV to be available in the ship rec room. He could also take the online college courses the Navy offers easier with his own laptop.
I am going to have some software tweaked on it and ship it to him for his birthday.
How lucky was that?
I would have read those books even without the chance to win a laptop, but it is cool that I got both!
Congratulations, Melissa! That. Is. AWESOME!!!! And I think it's very generous of you to give the laptop to your son. Great way to help make his service a bit happier!

I have been reworking my budget for a week trying to figure out how to manage the cost of the laptop so when I got the call saying I won I was through the roof happy.
LOL! Here you go:
I'm sure if you look around, Patsy, you'll find something that is just your cuppa-tea. :o)
Hope flu hasn't struck any of you. Have been laid low with it since New Year's Eve, but recovered now. A belated Happy New Year to everyone.
I got something about a month ago but no fever or anything. Just sore throat and cough. Lots of coughing. :( Still coughing. Sadly, lots of people around here got the flu.Glad you are better! And sorry that you were sick!
Hope you're completely better soon Lizzie. You were unlucky to be ill at Xmas as well as New Year. All my family have returned to their respective homes and the house seems very quiet (and also very peaceful!). I was very blessed because they were all with me for my birthday on Dec. 28th. I am 70. Those years seem to have gone by in a flash-hope the next 70 don't go so quickly!
Hello All, It has been a crazy winter , between the super cold temps(work for a propane company) and a new computer system to learn I feel a bit fuddled in the brain. I am looking forward to spring and a bit more reading time! I was taking a few minutes today to organize my TBR this month shelf and was wondering if we will still be doing the monthly Done in a flash challenges? I have books everywhere and it helps me narrow my focus when choosing my next books.
Hello to you, Lizzie, and to everyone else. The snow is nearly melted here and it is sunny. Looking forward to a walk this afternoon on the seafront.
Our heatwave has finally broken. Raining here today. At least the trees and plants will be enjoying it!Daughter and grandchildren from Belgium visited recently. Spent much time on the beach. Son is visiting from the US in a couple of weeks. Am very much looking forward to it. It will be the first time he has been back here in the summer for 12 years, although we see him every Xmas.
Hope everyone here is fine and it is not too hot where you all are.
It's been a brutally hot summer here (Arkansas, USA). We had no spring. Just winter then summer. Currently in the 90s but have had many days over 100.
I live in your neighbor Missouri USA so have been not enjoying the same weather. Looking forward to (and hoping we get) a Fall season!
I've always been a HEA kind of girl—I read the books, watch the movies, and even the books I write end with HEA. I usually read historical or paranormal romance...but I was looking for something different and...the last two books I read [Secret by L. Marie Adeline and 50 Shades of Grey by EL James] did not have HEA. I am now suffering from a harsh reality check that life doesn't always end HEA. (I already knew this, but the books I read and write always had happy endings). Now I'm thinking...do I incorporate some unhappy endingS into my current WIP? Thoughts?
Obviously, you must write what your muse tells you. But I personally refuse to willingly read a non-hea book. But that is my opinion and you should write what you want to.

I can't not [lol double negative] have a HEA. It goes against everything I believe in.
Hope anyone near Hurricane Florence is safe. It is a quiet, calm and sunny day here in South Devon and for that I am very grateful. My computer crashed some weeks ago and now have a new one. I am not very computer-literate and am struggling a bit with it. Really miss the old one.
