Hubs and I had an actual date! We went to trivia at a local museum. I love after-hours events at museums. It's all cool and quiet.
We're still eating the chocolates from Xmas, so had no shortage on Valentine's Day! (Am a diabetic, so always slightly surprised at the amount of chocolate I am generally given!)
Am off to Belgium for a few days to look after grandchildren. Haven't seen them since Xmas, so am really looking forward to it.
Enjoyed looking after grandchildren in Liege. Took a lot of arts and crafts presents with me to keep little hands and minds amused. Was very pleased I did. We visited tourist places as well- saw a chateau which was unfortunately shut, as well as La Grande Place in Brussels- lots of gold-painted Gothic architecture and cobblestones.
In The Times I saw the other day that William Dean Howells, novelist and critic, said to Edith Wharton in 1906 that, "What the American public always wants is a tragedy with a happy ending."
Reading/finishing a Stephen King novel and then I'm gonna start reading another horror lol.Got sausage and egg sandwich's for breakfast and lamb for dinner. I'm such a spoilt girl haha!.
I had chicken Parmesan and green bean vinaigrette for dinner last night... that I made myself. *sigh*
I've been all around Europe literally; I grew up in Germany, then I married and went to Greece (and divorced), and now I'm regularly visiting my new and oh so wonderful boyfriend in London! Well, maybe one day I'll just stay there... :)
sounds yummy, Abigail!other than stationed in Spain while in the military, I haven't seen Europe. But the places I saw in Spain were awesome!
Europe is such a wonderfully diverse region of different countries, scenery and languages. I would love to visit far more than I have already seen, but husband refuses to travel so my visits mainly revolve round daughter in Belgium and son in the US, both of which I really enjoy.

Oh yes, Spain is a lovely country, too, I used to go there on holiday with my parents when we had a caravan; very similar in many ways to Greece.
It's raining here. Very windy last night. Just come back from rather wet walk on the Downs and now having a quiet break on the computer.
It's been raining here in the mornings and then turning into beautiful, sunny days. Big puffy white clouds in a blue, blue sky. Makes everything so clean and clear and fresh.
March 20 was the Spring Equinox, the first official day of Spring. The blackbirds have returned to make a nest in the tree at the bottom of our garden as they do every year, and our little front garden is host to a pair of sparrows who haven't yet learned to distinguish glass from sky and fly into the window many times a day, which is extremely annoying. The sun, however, hasn't been told, and this morning my hands were frozen in my gloves on my walk.
Hello everybody! I'm SO happy - just booked the flight ticket to London, on May 25 I'm gonna see my sweetheart again!!!
