My younger brother’s partner is almost that age, and is well-known for running half the pharmacies in our city, and being featured on every national news story about medical things (because we live in the capital city the media just goes to the pharmacies in the city centre for their interviews), and apparently even then, every few days, you have to prove you are over eighteen …

Also, for someone who never really had health issues, I’ve recently had debilitating pain that has meant I’ve spent about fourteen hours a day sleeping. I feel like some sort of historical romance whiny damsel! Maybe I should start fainting to complete the image.
Australia is probably going to ban the stronger painkillers that are on sale at the moment, come June (The Nanny State!). I have NO idea how I’m going to cope after that.

Here - I didn't know about until I was dealing with strays - we have a website: The Canberra Lost Pets Database. You can post a picture of your lost pet, or the person who found an animal can post.
I'm sure there are sites like this everywhere, but I didn't know they existed until we were in a desperate situation.

It was absolutely ridiculous that they made Mr Darcy's house Chatsworth! Darcy isn't anywhere near important enough to have that house - he doesn't even have a title! I HATE the 2005 movie with a passion ("I'll just stroll around with my hair anachronistically down, no hat, no gloves, clomping around barefoot in the mud...")
But yes, it was Chatsworth, and you can now stay in some of the outbuildings on the property! Chatsworth - in reality - was home to the most important dukes, and people like Mary, Queen of Scots stayed there. Darcy wouldn't have been worthy of cleaning her boots!
I'm actually planning my dream trip to England at the moment (I lived in England for years, but now I want to do the fancy version).
Another place in the same area is Buxton. It's like Bath, but they have the oldest hotel in Britain, and you can actually stay in Mary, Queen of Scots' bedroom! You can also rent Jane Austen's house in Bath.
I shouldn't be sharing this, because this is my trip I'm planning! The trip I'm actually going to do. I cannot wait.

Awesome! What are you having?

Anyone ever gone to a new faire?

Anyway I have a problem (oh, problems) :) Would it be ok to share it? Only 2 :)
1. I was in a public vehicle going home, a guy and his friend talked so loud I overheard what they said. They talked about the guy who has a girlfriend named Roan. This guy is also having an affair with married woman named Donna. He said that their (Roan and his) anniversary is this coming Sunday (yes, st. valentine's day) so he will date Donna on the 13th instead. He was talking as if women throw themselves at him. I was debating whether to rail at the guy for being so obnoxious or call someone and pretend it is a Roan just to scare the shit out of him. I feel like I did not do my duty to my fellow women.
If you are in a situation like that, what will you do?
2. My boss hates me.

I envy you.

What a douchebag! Both of them!

2) How do you know?

I read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander years ago and recently I learned there's been a show created on...Starz?...Showtime?...that is based upon the book, has anyone ever seen it? I'm sort of excited, as the book was absolutely awesome, but I fear that it'll be horribly disappointing and destroy my great memories of the book. However, if it holds true to the storyline, I'd gladly pay for the channel just to see it.

My boyreind's birthday yesterday. Had an amazing time, we eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant and snuggled in bed at his house.

(Dragonfly in Amber is the second one.)

I love Mexican food! Sounds like a nice way to celebrate!

Thanks Abigail! That's exciting! I hate for my initial "feel good" about a book to be ruined, so I'll be adding Dragonfly in Amber to my To-Read list! :-)

Wow! And they are all encyclopedias, right? ;-)

Ooops! Well, HB to him, then. :o)
