Sounds like you have teenage girls. I have teenage boys.
My boys are 15 and 17 and it's all about cars, xbox, sports and girls (sort of in that order). It's really scarey the first time they drive off on their own.
Love being a labor day birthday girl as I always get three day week-ends for my birthday! I had really fun time as my niece who is getting married tried on my mother's wedding dress. Awesome family moments...
Thank you everyone, Phoebe is such a pretty name to me aswell. We had her over today and it was so much fun.

Did you know there is a well-known historical romance author who made her hero the "Duke of Torquay"? But she thought it was pronounced "Torkwayyee"! Has she never seen Fawlty Towers? The 40th anniversary (edit: of the show) was a few days ago.
We just used the name Phoebe recently. I thought everyone had heard of it, but I've learnt that's not the case...I haven't been around for a while, but I want to share a couple of pieces of news.
We have yet another pregnant stray cat living at my grandmother's house. But my grandmother died at the beginning of May, so I can't keep her!
I called the RSPCA this afternoon, and after accusing me of lying and trying to dump my own pet, they hung up on me! Awful people. Now I don't know what to do with her.
I'd love to keep her. She's gorgeous:
In more horrible news you probably don't want to read, one of my friends was murdered by her boyfriend a few months ago. He was already charged with the murder, but yesterday he was also (and I'm sorry, and this is disgusting) charged with raping her before and AFTER he killed her.
I'm still struggling to come to terms with that - I knew the murder was ugly, because the family made it all private. But this...
Oh, Sonya. I don't have the words to tell you how sorry I am about your friend. My thoughts are with you and sending hope that you get though your struggles.Love the sweet kitty-cat pic, though.

The thing with my friend is that it became an international headline because a news helicopter filmed the whole thing live. Before I knew the victim's identity I was yelling at the television to SHUT UP about this "exclusive murder coverage". And then they released her name...
I LOVE this cat. I have never met such an affectionate animal, and there's nothing more I want than to keep her. But I'm going to be travelling for the next eight months!
Reporters! I know there are good ones out there, but the media is a monster that feeds on the tragedy of others.True, travel and new pet ownership don't mix.

Hi Sonya, well if you come here to Torquay, we will have to meet up! LOl Carol.
Sorry – I seem to be posting and running at the moment!I found out about my friend by watching the evening news. It was a big story for hours, but with no names. One network was bragging all evening about their “exclusive” story.
And then at about 11pm they had this thing: ‘We can now exclusively reveal her identity.’ And then they put her picture up.
We all know the media is ruthless and disgusting, but that moment really drove it home for me.
I raced onto Facebook etc., not believing it, but all her accounts had disappeared, and that was confirmation for me.
Today our gorgeous stray had her kittens (at the private rescue shelter we took her to). She had four, and then they sneaked in a six day-old stray (the one at the end) and she accepted him, so now she has five. The pictures aren’t so great – newborn kittens (especially kittens the same colour as their mother) just look like blobs!
The first baby got stuck, so if she’d had them in the wild she and the kittens would have died. :( I’m so glad we got her to the shelter in time.
I am absolutely determined to convince everyone to adopt her back in a couple of months. She’d come back to us desexed etc. This is my fifth stray, and the one I simply CANNOT let go of. This one (Sophia) has become an online celebrity here, and I’m getting really annoyed with total strangers discussing her – she’s MINE! Everyone at the shelter is shocked how affectionate she is.
I didn’t even like cats in the past, but EVERYONE would like her.

And you can provide full five star accommodation! ;) I lived in England for years, but I missed seeing so many places. I'm planning another trip where I go to the bits I missed.
The problem is my itinerary goes from Cornwall to Derbyshire, and it's not a practical tour!
Can someone explain to me how audible works? I couldn't find information from their site. Is it monthly cost and then I can listen as many books as I want? Thanks.

Thank you Lisa Kay. It is more expensive than I thought. So you can only buy one or two books in a month and they cost much more than kindle books or paperbacks. How are the narrators in generally? Are there more good or bad? The guy who narrates Flowers From The Storm (Nicolas something) sounds great.
Katariina, one thing about audiobooks...the narrator can make or break the book. You learn who you like. Also, you learn at which speed you like to listen.
