Cathy Spencer (cm_spencer) | 111 comments My younger daughter just moved out of our apartment today to move in with her sister. There was really just one bedroom worth of stuff to move, but my husband was charging around with his hand truck like a bull in a china shop. Are all men like that?

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Oh, yes. Some good ones, Jane.

message 2911: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) We had close to seven inches of snow here yesterday. The snow wasn't so bad, but the wind! We had negative windchills all day -- a good excuse to stay indoors and read. Which I did. I read Lady Susan by Jane Austen, and a bit of A Passage to India by E.M. Forster (though not as much of that one as I would have liked).

Sun is shining today, but quite misleading as the high is only supposed to be 15F. And, of course, the sun meant Jimmy the Groundhog saw his shadow, so six more weeks of winter. :-\

Thought that was pretty cool, too. It's not even out until this summer, and already ranking first on best-seller lists.

Just read it. There was a similar article I saw over here. Very interesting. Incredible amount of copies sold for Mockingbird. It's a shame that Harper Lee sounds rather frail now. Looking forward to reading what is obviously the original novel.

Carol Dobson | 402 comments Abigail wrote: "Carol, I haven't read anything else."

Her style can seem a little dated now, but there is always a very strong story line and I really like them. She is still selling an enormous number of books a month (forget the figure).
