Suppose to reach about 50F today but its overcast. :( 100% chance of rain tomorrow. I want to go hiking but I guess I'll have to walk indoors.

Slight snow here this morning. Very cold for my walk. Met a neighbour with bare legs and shorts, about to go cycling in the woods with his dog!
My younger daughter just moved out of our apartment today to move in with her sister. There was really just one bedroom worth of stuff to move, but my husband was charging around with his hand truck like a bull in a china shop. Are all men like that?

Worth the Risk
Worth the Fall
We had close to seven inches of snow here yesterday. The snow wasn't so bad, but the wind! We had negative windchills all day -- a good excuse to stay indoors and read. Which I did. I read Lady Susan by Jane Austen, and a bit of A Passage to India by E.M. Forster (though not as much of that one as I would have liked). Sun is shining today, but quite misleading as the high is only supposed to be 15F. And, of course, the sun meant Jimmy the Groundhog saw his shadow, so six more weeks of winter. :-\
Just found Carolyn Brown's books. They are witty and enjoyable to read. Just Grace,Hidden Secrets, [book:Maggie's Mistake, my favorite is The Ladies Room.
Just looked it up. Lovely! I think we could do with Punxsutawney Phil on Gobbler's Knob here in Britain!

Hope you're not too ill, Lizzie. It has taken me ages to get over the cold/flu I had after Xmas. There's some nasty bugs going around!
I'm fine. I just needed to get more perscriptions on my pills and inhaler, blood pressure is ok. I'm still 10 and a half stone. All good.

Thought that was pretty cool, too. It's not even out until this summer, and already ranking first on best-seller lists.

Just read it. There was a similar article I saw over here. Very interesting. Incredible amount of copies sold for Mockingbird. It's a shame that Harper Lee sounds rather frail now. Looking forward to reading what is obviously the original novel.
I cannot tell you how many times I tried to read that book. I finally gave up on the beginning and started on chapter 5. It was worth the effort.
Clear, sunny, and 43 degrees F. here today. It's 41 degrees F. at one place I'm thinking of moving and 42 degrees F. in the other.
Abigail wrote: "Carol, I haven't read anything else."Her style can seem a little dated now, but there is always a very strong story line and I really like them. She is still selling an enormous number of books a month (forget the figure).
For those of you who remember "The Man from Uncle," what do you think of Hugh Grant playing Mr. Waverly? Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x08i....
