it looks gorgeous out here as well, but since it's supposed to have been -22 last night, I'm a little scared to go outside

It definitely makes for an interesting day, I"ll say that.
Yes, I saw it last night. Have not read the book, so was interested to see it. What did you think, Lizzie?I enjoyed it, but found it very slow-moving. I kept wanting Thomas Cromwell to be a bit more dynamic! He seemed very 'laid-back' even when his wife and daughters suddenly died.
I liked the historical aspect of it, although it all looked rather sparklingly clean and beautiful.
Damian Lewis, always one of my favorites, looked very handsome as Henry.
Cold and grey here today. Keep over-eating because of the weather. Hopefully it will warm up soon, or I will be enormous.
So the faire is this weekend and it's supposed to rain tomorrow. I hate wet faires. Though we do get a bigger audience when it rains. ;)

27 F but high expected is 54 F.We have had a mild winter so far. Unfortunately the persimmons had a different story and promise a bad one. So either they were wrong or something is coming.
It seems to be getting hotter and hotter where you are thinking of moving. Hope you will be near a swimming pool!
I read somewhere that Bill Gates has a stream running through his living room! That seems really weird to me.
Talking about hot tubs etc. our society is much more affluent these days than it was when I was very young. We had a tin bath in front of the fire for baths, no running water in the house, and an outside lavatory. When I was 16, I visited the home of a French family in the countryside. The lavatory was just a hole in the ground in the garden with a wooden seat over it. There was no water in the house, it came from a well, and when you had used a bowl of water you just threw it out of the window!
First weekend of faire over and I have sore feet and a dry throat. Five days to recover before I get to do it again!
Hi everyone. Saw the snow in Connecticut on Skype yesterday. Hope the threatened storm isn't too bad. It's warmed up here a bit, but Arctic conditions are said to be coming here for 3 weeks.
Carol wrote: "Holocaust Memorial Day today. So much sadness in the world, then and now."Yes. I hate how some people try to pretend it never happened. We need to learn from the past.
Hi friends,I saw a video today for Holocaust Memorial Day of survivors returning to Auschwitz 70 years later. Positively heart wrenching.

Hi everyone. Sunny here today, but very cold weather expected shortly. (Not as cold as your's in the NE though).
What's a good site to find the various pen names popular authors use?I know the well-known ones like Nora Robers / JD Robb and according to Wikipedia she also writes as Jill March and Sarah Hardesty
and recently learned of Bella Andre /Lucy Kevin / Bella Riley
Is there a site that tracks these?

I don't know. Sorry. But Fantastic Fiction lists pen names for their authors. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/
Snow was forecast, but there is only a light rain this morning. The saying is that 'you look like the food you eat!'. Eating fish and chips yet again today, so oh dear!
Carol wrote: "Hi everyone. Cold here. Catching up on reading today in front of the fire."Sounds great to me!
My singing group performed in a bar last night and today I'm all scratchy from the smoke. It's going to be a fun day at the faire!
I agree Lizzie. It's a nuisance when it snows here, as we're not equipped to deal with it properly, as we have it quite rarely and so not much money is allocated to clearing it and making it safe. Also, on a personal level, I don't possess the proper boots for it etc. for the same reason, as just mentioned, that we so rarely need that sort of thing.
