oh no! cat's don't like that. Mine fell in a bubble bath one time because he tried to walk on the bubbles. He only did that once.
Jeffrey Bruner, The Fussy Librarian, whose eBook recommendation service I have used, has devised a survey to determine the reading habits of eBook buyers. He used suggestions from authors to choose the questions, and his outcome will help us to market our books more effectively. If you have 5 minutes, would you please take the survey? Thank you! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SWG8JYB
Hi everyone. Don't like reading by Kindle, although I have one. Masked by Moonlight has arrived, so hope the group is still reading it! Just finished The Martian by Andy Weir. Loved it.

LisaKay...quite a few jewelry stores and coin shops in our area buy back old gold....broken jewelry, teeth, etc. I sold a broken gold bangle and one gold earring (having lost the other one).

Lizzie wrote: "Its also one of mine. I've always to wanted to read it."Did you see Jamaica Inn when it was on the TV? I really enjoyed it, even although it was often difficult to hear what they were saying.
How they spoke is now often referred to as the Cornish Mumble!A funny joke about it that I saw in the Times was of someone writing in to say he did not know what all the fuss was about as he could hear it all perfectly. His only query was: what was a double decker bus doing there?
OMG! And I wear a sweatshirt, coat, gloves, 2 pairs of socks, scarf, hat, long underwear....Can I come visit you, Abigail? lol
Carol wrote: "I think we all want to visit her! Lol."No kidding -- though we are supposed to get above freezing here this weekend. Whoo-hoo . . . heat wave! ☺
Have scaffolding at the front of house from the roofers, but it can't be painted now because the temperature is evidently too cold for the paint.

Hooray for Friday! What are you all doing this weekend?Saturday I'm helping a friend make my skirt for the local medieval faire (I sing in one of the stage shows). Sunday I'm watching the dress rehearsal of the faire's chessboard. The faire is next weekend and I can't wait!!!

That sounds like so much fun!
I'm going to be oh-so-original and catch up on my reading this weekend.
Jonel wrote: "I'm going to be oh-so-original and catch up on my reading this weekend."**giggles** Me, too!
Hi Abigail. What is the fair's chessboard? It all sounds very interesting.Like things to do with history. Not much going on here this weekend. Walking and reading. My hands were cold even in gloves this morning. Brr.
Son is driving from San Francisco to Minnesota at the moment, helping his fiancee to move. They have now reached Yellowstone. Would love to drive across the US. One of these days!
Not history so much as "history." :)So, Robin Hood and his merry men on one side, Sheriff and his men on the other. Or King Arthur on one side and Morgan Le Fay on the other.
They play chess using people as the pieces. When one piece goes to take a square, they have to fight it out. Whoever wins gets the square.
I did this for over ten years. Singing is a lot less harder on your body. ;)
Well, I have never heard of that before. It sounds somewhat violent. I think I would stick to singing!I gather football used to be a very violent game. They evidently used to kick the ball from town to town and fight en route. I believe Henry V111 banned it.
Well, the fights are preset, so no one gets hurt. Unless someone messes up. That's interesting about football!(First I thought you were talking about American football and I couldn't figure out how that would work.)
So... I didn't get as much of my TBR pile knocked off my list as I'd wanted this weekend, but I did rearrange the pics on my wall to make room for my brother's wedding pictures, repot a few plants, and actually sit down and watch tv for the first time in months.

Yes, I had forgotten how different the two games are.
