Decorating. He's a bit of a wiz when it comes to DIY stuff, he's got all the radiators on. The candles are red and white, makes are living room look like a catholic church because the decor is gold and red lol
Lizzie, I bet your living room looks amazing!I had an email from my landlord a bit ago with a heating update. Due to the "unexpected" cold snap, no one could fit us in until Friday. Evening temps this week are upper 30s/low 40s. *whimper*
We had a cold snap up here too. We had frost last night and I had half the windows open. It was a bit chilly this am. I should probably start checking the weather more often... Of course, now it's pouring rain.
It was raining like an hour ago. It keeps starting and finishing. Last night it went on throughout the night.
Lisa Kay and Abigail: LOL, thanks! I actually curled up on the couch with a book and a quilt, DWTS on in the background, and then - of course - it was time for Castle. Not sure I'm liking where that storyline is going. Kind of weird, but even though there's no heat, there's still a light wind, and I haven't used the oven, it actually feels a bit warmer in here than it did earlier.
Jonel wrote: "We had a cold snap up here too. We had frost last night and I had half the windows open."Haven't seen frost yet, though we did have our first flurries of the season about 4:30 Saturday morning. Sooo glad I missed that. I'm not ready to see snow. *shudders*

Hi everyone. Cold and chilly here as well, and just started to rain. Had hair cut very short last week by mistake and felt like a grey pixie scuttling along on walk this morning.
The winter months is why I never cut mine very short. The summer months I have mine in a clip up off my neck.
Lizzie wrote: "Me too. I thought, cutting it into a bob was a good idea last year. Now I want to grow it :p"I did the same thing a few months ago. Now it's driving my batty trying to grow it back out.
Night Hawk (Online Elf) wrote: "Oh, no. Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, Jonel...but that's funny!"Especially since my 60lb husky cross lays down on the sidewalk and whines if she gets wet....
Night Hawk (Online Elf) wrote: "Doesn't that make her more wet, Jonel? LOL!"Why yes, yes it does. Especially when she manages to lay in a puddle....
It's always said over here in Britain that Americans have much better teeth than us. Did not notice that when I visited, but what I did notice was that no one seems to have grey hair. (Not talking about men). I found that quite strange, but perhaps I did not see a good cross section of the community.
We're vain. :) Let me introduce you to Ms. Clairol, a woman's best friend. You know, I never thought about it before. I'm trying to think of older ladies that I know. And yeah, most of them do color their hair. My mom included.
I stopped coloring my hair because of my daughter. She has gorgeous red hair. When she saw me coloring mine she felt she should be able to color hers. But no, she is way too young and instead of arguing I just stopped.
I'm naturally a redhead, regretted dying my hair black when I was 14. Now its naturally coming back after not dying it for 7 years.
My daughter is 14 and is loving her hair now. She realizes how unique and pretty it is now. When people tease her I explain how they are probably jealous and point out all the fake red heads out there.
lol that's what I don't understand about most men. They drool over girls with red hair yet us natural gingers "scare them".Oh well I stopped caring. My boyfriend loves redheads anyway.
When I stopped dying my hair by BFF had a fit. I asked her why, and she said it was because everyone knew we were the same age. LOL! That was almost a decade ago and she is not letting hers go natural... and she thinks the conversion is a pain, which it is! Whenever I think of dying it back, I remember that transition.
I'm guilty of dying my hair red, though it was a long time ago. Now I'm happy as a natural brunette with red highlights.
I was always a blonde, but I went red once. It was funny, because the people I met for the first time, during that time, couldn't get used to me when I went back to my natural blonde. LOL!

Our weekend temps were about half that -- only 48F Saturday (but high winds, so felt colder) and 53F Sunday. I spent the weekend at a friend's and arrived home last night to find a note on the front door that they had been by to turn the heat on, but the furnace wasn't working right and should be fixed "sometime this week." It was so cold in my apartment this morning I had a hard time getting up -- I wanted to stay buried beneath the pile of blankets.
