Lol Thank you Kari! I appreciate it. I have a couple of guys in mind for when it really is my bday. Hopefully they'll be here when that day comes. Lol

Jordan Connell (tinkerer) | 271 comments Hey Guys!! I got elected Vice President for my school's Key Club! I was secretary this year, but I am super excited about VP!I just wanted to throw that out because I feel super good right now :)

And you guys have still got my mind on chicken ☺ My mom makes these homemade fried chicken strips that are to DIE FOR!! But, alas, she is gone to a conference for the weekend and my dad is working days all weekend. It seems I will have to starve to death...or attempt to cook for myself :D

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Awesome, Jordan! Sadly, from the time I was about 14 years old until I left home I cooked dinner every night except on nights we went out which wasn't very often.

Leslie (chibilee02) Congratulations Jordan! That's a great accomplishment. I remember when I was in Key Club back in high school. Lol

Like others, will be checking out your recipes Abigail. Maybe I'll pass it along to my boyfriend, since he's the cook out of the two of us. Lol I'm the baker.

Jordan Connell (tinkerer) | 271 comments Thanks guys! And I made tomato soup. From a can. So yes Abigail, I will be checking out those recipes! And Key Club is a club where we do tons of community service. :) Thank goodness for Mac and Cheese from a box. Lunch, here I come!

message 1414: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Aubensam I should have waited until *after* Kale Week to tell you all about it... :)

message 1415: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Wow... Autocorrect FAIL!

That should have read MAYBE

message 1416: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments You mean "Aubensam" and "Maybe" are somehow alike? LOL!

message 1417: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Rhoades (jackierhoades) | 192 comments Okay, I can't remember what thread it was in, but Lisa Kay mentioned laughing at the movie It's Complicated even though it has adultery. I just watched it and I laughed and yelled 'ow, ow ow!' through the whole thing. My husband kept coming in saying, "If you're going to laugh, you need to turn this off!" I broke a rib last Saturday and yes, it hurts like hell when I laugh, but I couldn't stop watching. It's all your fault Lisa Kay. I'll be sore tomorrow, but it was worth it. What a good movie!

message 1418: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments LOL! Yes, laughing just thinking about that movie, Jacqueline. Glad you liked it. Ouch! about the rib, though.

message 1419: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Okay, maybe the timing was off on watching that movie, Jacqueline. I hope you survive ☺

message 1420: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Lisa, who knows how the mysteries of autocorrect work?

Everybody but Jacqueline go to this site: www.damnyouautocorrect.com

Don't drink anything while you're reading it. Jacqueline, you can read it when your rib is better. Get well!

message 1421: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Watching the bucket list and laughing my rear off! I'm sure it will get sad before the end though.

message 1422: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Okay, Abigail. I just spent 30 minutes at that site. LMBO!

message 1423: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Hey, if being a bad girl will keep me published...

Glad you're enjoying it. I can't read it when the kids are awake (some of it is naughty) because they'll ask what's so funny.

message 1431: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Oh, some of them just bring tears to my eyes, I laugh so hard. Man-oh-man! One needs an empty bladder before reading those.

I think I like it best when the person receiving just goes along with it...

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Hmmm not going there for supper.

message 1433: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Connell (tinkerer) | 271 comments Well I can assure I won't be taking recipes from those on that site! Even if I do starve I refuse to eat cheese barfers :)

message 1439: by Kari (new)

Kari | 1791 comments I was wondering...how many books do you guys have stored in your kindle/nook? Does anyone know what the limit of books is(in my case kindle)?

message 1440: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Connell (tinkerer) | 271 comments I know, but i do spend a lot of time on iwastesomuchtime.com . It really is a great way to waste time

message 1441: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Jordan, some of the autocorrects have questionable language. Not unlike your average romance novel. ;)

Kari, I probably have about 30 books. I don't do free downloads because I can't even read books that I've PAID for. And I prefer actual books. (Ironic since my books is an e-release.)

message 1442: by Kari (new)

Kari | 1791 comments Thanks Abby. I don't have that many, and I don't think I'll run out of kindle memory anytime soon (I wish it was full of books!), but I do wonder how many can be stored. I think many people still prefer actual paper books, in my case I don't really have a preference.

message 1443: by T.L. (new)

T.L. Nicholas (TLNicholas) | 2 comments I currently have 86 on my Kindle, but I have no clue what the limit is. Like Abigail, I don't do free downloads either, but there are several I need to delete because they're DNF's I'm never going to fight through, lol.

They're the equivalent of the skinny jeans that have been in my closet since 2004, I want to wear them, feel like I should wear them, but I know I'm never going to.

Hey Kari, If you run out of space, you can archive them--on my fire I have a 'cloud' that they can be stored in. You can call them back up from the archive whenever you want. And I think the number you can store in archive is infinity--or close to it anyway.

message 1445: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (chibilee02) Lol funny I never thought about how many books can be stored on my kindle/nook. I do download freebies but I'm peculiar on which books to download. Like the rest of you, I still have books that need to be read, so I gotta be picky about what to download.

And since I prefer hard paper books, I tend to wait for the time when I am able to buy paper books.

Thanks Ute for the info on archiving the books.

message 1446: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Connell (tinkerer) | 271 comments Has anyone tried getting free kindle books from Pixel of Ink on Facebook? It's super easy and free, you just need to get onto facebook from your kindle, or on your computer I think, and download the free book of the day. I can't remember all that you need to do since my kindle fire needs to be sent in for repairs, but it isn't too hard to get the downloads.

message 1447: by Kari (new)

Kari | 1791 comments The cloud is a really good idea. I guess it also helps for organization purposes. Thanks!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 13013 comments Have a good time Pamela... see you next week.

Its funny when regular posters go AWOL, it does feel if something is missing.
