Heather L (wordtrix) Ick! And on that note, Happy Pi(e) Day!

Leslie (chibilee02) I prefer my bacon to be separate from other foods. Unless it's on a pizza or something.

I love chocolate covered strawberries, or strawberries with chocolate ice cream. Now that's good eating for me! Lol

message 1203: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Ooh, chocolate covered blueberries!

We had key lime pie last night. Yay pi day!

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Love pie!

message 1205: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments Ugh I hate raisins too. But I'll eat the dried cranberries. Weird, I know. Bacon, pepperoni, and black olives, plus cheese of course on a pizza equals yum to me :D
They do make some weird flavored vodkas nowadays. I'm a rum girl myself, I like regular old Bacardi and Captain Morgan both.

message 1206: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Abigail: Mmm...key lime pie. I could really go for a slice of that!

Kit: Now that's a pizza I could enjoy. I'm always getting grief from friends and family because I don't like the "usual" stuff that most people like on pizza (no onion, peppers, mushrooms or chunks of tomato thank you).

I also like Hawaiian pizza (Canadian bacon and pineapple), and a friend and I will sometimes order one with alfredo sauce, chichen and black olives. I also like zucchini on pizza.

message 1207: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (chibilee02) Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like raisins. Seems like everyone I know likes them.

When it comes to pizza, I'm pretty simple with that. I don't go all out with that. It's my comfort food so I don't want all kinds of weird stuff on it.

And can always go for some nice, yummy apple pie ^_^

message 1208: by Melissa (new)

Melissa My favorite pizza is probably canadian bacon and mushroom but I do like the chicken alfredo pizza's. I remember when I worked the local pizza joint in highschool we used to have a family that would order sour krout (sp?) pizza. Used to make the kitchen smell so bad.

Yummy on the apple pie. We had apple pie fig newtons at work today and they were really good!

message 1209: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments My most fave pizza is canadian bacon and black olives.

Lol yea, my family says I'm boring because I don't like all that crap on my pizza. But ugh, I don't like peppers, onions, mushrooms, or chunky tomatos in anything :)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Thanks, Pamela! So, did you wear green? Drink some green ale? Dance a jig?

message 1214: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Second day of spring and it's 40 degrees F here. Welcome to Florida!

message 1215: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments they talking snow here. ☺

message 1216: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (chibilee02) Clear blue sky w/some wispy clouds and sunshine. Thank god I'm in Southern California lol

message 1217: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) The sun is shining here in Southern Wis. Blue sky, no clouds, but it is misleading. At 1:30pm, the temp is only 24F. If only it were warm enough to melt some of this snow!

message 1218: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments There was a little spring shower this morning, but it is sunny with blue skies now.

message 1219: by Melissa (new)

Melissa We are under a winter advisory warning, calling for sleet and snow.

message 1220: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments It's snowing!

message 1221: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments Oh, Pamela! I feel like I cursed you for bringing up the weather!

message 1222: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Its white outside!

Nah, Abigail, the weather people have been trying to convince us that it was coming. But it's Spring! It's not suppose to snow in Arkansas in the Spring!

message 1223: by Melissa (new)

Melissa We got a little bit of snow yesterday here in MO but it melted as fast as it fell. We still have the winter advisory going through the weekend though. Not very springy feeling :(

message 1224: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Nope, not feeling the Spring :(

message 1225: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments No spring here yet either. Weather guy said it'll be into April before we get temps above 40. Lame! We had one lovely 70 degree day a week or two ago, but it was just a tease because now we back to snow... grrr! >.<

message 1226: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "But it's Spring! It's not suppose to snow in Arkansas in the Spring!"

Yeah, that reasoning never works. We've had snow here as late as mid-May.

It's just "warm" enough today (currently 31, feels like 34) that there is a little bit of melting going on. Not a lot, but some.

message 1227: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Just curious. Have you ever done something then sat back and waited for people to notice?

message 1228: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments Like cleaning the house? Lol, unless I point it out, it's like I never even did it as far as anyone notices/appreciates.

message 1229: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Yeah that or getting your hair cut or something.

message 1230: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments I've dyed my hair black before. I'm pretty dark brown anyway, and folks would look at me like they knew something was different but couldn't quite tell what.

message 1231: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Yes, I've done the hair thing before and it took a while for the family to notice. hehe

message 1232: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Clueless.

message 1233: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Why are you clueless, LK? You haven't noticed anything different around here lately have you? lol

message 1234: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments No. I meant your families.

message 1235: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments yes, they are clueless! ☺

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 13013 comments That's why I hate house cleaning. Yeah, you have to do it but you can slave away all day till it's spotless and no one says a thing because it's expected. But the minute there's not fresh towels in the bathroom, it's Mummmm..... I wish I could be one of those people who enjoy cleaning and really get satisfaction from it. Not me, i'd rather be doing anything else. (Like hanging this forum,LOL)

message 1237: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Yes, I know what you mean. They just love taking us for granted!

message 1238: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments ... is this where I admit my husband does most of the cleaning?

message 1239: by Darlene (new)

Darlene Deluca (darlenedeluca) | 488 comments Abigail wrote: "... is this where I admit my husband does most of the cleaning?"

Lucky!!! :-) I can go to the grocery store, do the laundry, vaccum, etc., and someone will still notice that there's a cobweb in the corner. Erg.

message 1240: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Nah, keep it to yourself. We want to go on assuming that you do all the work and he doesn't appreciate you. ☺

message 1241: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "Yes, I've done the hair thing before and it took a while for the family to notice. hehe"

I had that happen last fall with friends. Chopped off about 10 inches -- from hanging down my back to about shoulder length -- and not a single person noticed, though I had just seen some of them a few days earlier.

message 1242: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Can I change the topic? I wanted to know if any of your cities or towns do this: I got a call from the Police Department this morning regarding an "Amber Alert." It was a recording with the information (car involved, age of baby, etc.). This has never happened before, and I don't live in a small city.

message 1243: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14528 comments Never had one here. I've heard Amber Reports on the Radio but never a call. I like the idea though.

message 1244: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 648 comments Yea here they'll do like an emergency broadcast on the tv and radio, and they'll put messages on those electronic roadsigns but no phone calls. Now the towns have call/text alerts you can sign up for and they'llcall about tornado warnings, etc etc, and the schools have alerts for when there's any threat (which sadly the kids in this one town near here think it's funny to write threats on bathroom walls to get a day off school (my guess for why they do it anyways)...) but yea, no amber alert calls that I know of.

message 1245: by Melissa (new)

Melissa I've never had a phone call, had it show up online and heard it on the radio but never had a phone call.

message 1246: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Sharpe (abigailsharpe) | 2010 comments I've had an amber alert text. We also have silver alerts for senior citizens.

message 1247: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Hmmm. You all have me thinking. I'm wondering if it is something that got activated when I got a (mandatory) upgrade from AT&T on my phone and computer line.

message 1248: by Sunny☼ (new)

Sunny☼ (sunny2) | 643 comments It wouldn't hurt a soul to call the police dept and varify it was them making the call then to ask if this is a change in policy. There certainly seems to be more information needed.

message 1249: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Oh, it was a real Amber Alert. It was on the news and all the facts were right.

message 1250: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I was thinking of calling, but I thought they might be inundated with calls.
