lol... I do that too. I was horrible at math back in school and it hasn't improved since. Anything more complicated than 2+2=4 is beyond me. Ok, I'm not quite that bad but I failed geometry in school and nearly failed algebra.
Math is the worst for us and it's the one subject she seems to have homework in every day. 5th grade math seems harder now than when I was in 5th grade. I googled what a term meant a while back cause I was clueless, my little girl kept saying "I don't know if we're supposed to do that Mom!" like we were cheating or something. She cracks me up!
**snortsnort** Sometimes I wonder about public education and how it makes kids worry about conforming.
After 9-11 I made red-white-blue ribbons b/c the fabric store ran out. (I felt helpless and wanted to DO something. I ran out every day, BTW.) Anyway, I asked the little girl next door if she wanted one (she watched me making them with longing in her eyes). She replied, "We're not allowed to wear gang colors." !!!!!
That is funny but as the same time it is sad. I had heard about some schools having to pass that rule. My kids small school (luckily) is still worrying about to short shirts and skirts instead of gang colors.
I think we will have to have a vote on that one - honourary Lisa's included of course. My vote is for bright and sparkly like us.
I wanted you all to know I'm typing this while dressed in a corset, waiting for the start of my last show at a medieval faire. That is all. :)
You know, I don't think I've every worn a corset. Thanks Leslie and Abigail; I'm putting that on my bucket list!
lol! I don't have either in the house at this time. I need to do some serious shopping! lol. It's not too bad now. I should know better than to dump half a jar of jalapenos into my soup!
I warn my kid every time he orders something spicy. He always responds with, "I know, Mom," complete with eye roll.
Yea, my taste buds don't do spicy. They lean more towards the sweets. I'm a dessert kind of gal. ^_^
Leslie, you probably would have loved the birthday cake a friend's son baked for me this weekend. It was triple chocolate (Double Dutch chocolate with mini chocolate chips) and chocolate frosting. YUM!
It was! :-D And maybe even more special because a friend's 18-yr old son baked it. He might make some woman a good husband some day, as he likes to cook and bake. He graduates HS this June, then enters the army later this summer. *sigh* Guess it'll be back to store-bought cakes next year. *g*
My daughter likes to bake but she gets it into the oven and takes off. So unless I let it burn I have to fish it out when its done.

And that was sweet (no pun intended) of him to do that. He likes to cook and bake?! Damn, lucky woman that gets him! Lol
Maybe you can go to those mom and pop bakery shops. My boyfriend got our anniversary cake a couple years back from a small place near his mom's home. It was really good and at a good price.
Oh man, no hot stuff for me. Chipotle ranch is too hot for me, lol. I don't even put pepper on my food. I'm a wimp :)
Oh don't worry Kit, I'm with you there! We can be wimps together lol The only spicy/hot things I would eat are the Flaming Hot Cheetos. And even, that was back in high school. Everyone seemed to love that...If I'm every in a choco-withdrawal, I'm going to you Abigail! Will apologize in advance for clearing out that stash. Lol
