Lisa, it was a great day for a wedding, the weather was perfect, congrats to your family :)

I don't understand Trunk or Treat. Why mess with tradition? Are the houses really a problem? Though I do understand if it's for secular reasons.

We are smack dob in the middle of the bible belt here and the churches are offering a "safe" alternative to treat or treating. Personally, I think its a way to promote their church. But I'm not getting into the whole religion discussion. Anyway, there are often other activities at some places that attract kids. Of course, we still have the house to house thing too. I think the media has scared some families and they prefer the crowded areas instead of the quieter neighborhoods.

Here is what Wiki has to say about aphids: basically also known as plant lice and in Britain and the Commonwealth as greenflies, blackflies or whiteflies. They love roses, from what I understand.

I didn't know this, Sandra! Thanks. I'm just getting into gardening, now that I've gone vegan and am retired. My mother could grow anything, anywhere...she had ten green thumbs. I have ten brown ones, so have to work at it. LOL!

I'm not sure when trunk or treat started, up until last year my daughter was with my ex every Holloween so I didn't do the trick or treating. Last year and this year she was with me and that's where we went. In our (small) town it is done in the park and the city & the local businesses host it. Its not a bad thing... we went to one place got candy, roasted hotdogs, had hot chocolate, costume contests and play houses and games all in one place. It was like a holloween fair.

Aphids do love roses, basically they are sap sucking teeny tiny bugs with wings. They don't get scared and fly away though, they are the tough gangland type with street cred. Round here they are green. To get rid of them you have to use a pest oil (oil & pyrethrum mix) or hit them with extreme predjuice with an insecticide.

The wedding went off fantastically.... a truly joyous occasion and now the lovebirds are on the way to their honeymoon in The Maldives.
I will post a couple of pictures when i get organised.

Good to hear! Looking forward to pics ☺

They had some really cute books!

Saw the trailer for that one, Holly. It does look good!

I haven't seen it yet but looking forward to it.

Saw Wreck-It Ralph on Tuesday (yeah, I'm one of those I-see-a-movie-if-the-kids-can-come-too people) and liked it. I worked in an arcade for three years in college so it was fun to see what might have happened when the lights went out.
