Lisa Kay, she liked them before that but that was like an added bonus for her!aww Pamela, maybe it'll work better the more you use it.

But he didn't seem inanimate to me :( He was a trusted friend.
It's funny how we get attached to inanimate objects. I am very attached to my hair brush, had it for about eight years. When I blow dry my hair it is just the right size to get the style I want. I've never seen one exactly the same so I treasure it. I have to hide it from my daughter as she has a tendency to lose things... It this weird?
I'd love to have one if someone else took care of it. I'd play with it but clean its cage? Not so much. :)
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "It this weird?"Nah. You know I'm remodeling, right? Well, it all started out unexpectedly - with an emergency - and just snowballed. Anyhow, I keep wanting things put back exactly the same. Same cabinets, same color paint, etc. I have made some changes after much persuasion - and talk of "re-sale" value. I'm being dragged into the new millennium kicking and screaming. LOL!
That's hilarious Lisa Kay. I always joke with my husband that just as well for him that I like the same old things around me...
Hey, whenever the workmen tell me something is "old school" - I just tell them the 80's and 90's were very good to me! Why wouldn't I want to stay there?
Hey that sounds like my daughter. I keep telling her that 80's power ballads are soooo good, she just rolls her eyes...
Hey, I'm new here so I'm not sure if this has been discussed before or not. Is anyone big on Pinterest? Has this group thought about starting a board? Just a thought. I know some of you seem very tech friendly. If anyone already has a board, please let me know!!!
Hi, Cassie. I'm on Pinterst but not for the group. I haven't visited too much lately since my computer is problematic. I need to break down and get another but that probably won't be til after the new year. Anyway, http://pinterest.com/pamelaallhoney/ is my link. ☺
I'm on Pinterest, Cassie. I set it up for Nothing But Reading Challenges group...I guess I could do it for this group, too, if people are interested.
Everyone enjoying Sandy? I'm a pharm tech at Target and we were the last store to close in town. Wallmart even closed two hours before we did. So far we're lucky we still have power.
In Missouri here, we're not affected either. Stay safe!um.. I started a pinterest account but I don't go there a lot. How would you use it for a group?
Melissa wrote: "I started a pinterest account but I don't go there a lot. How would you use it for a group?"Melissa, you could repin from there, such as the covers to our BOM. Or any pic you like that I added from my "Over in a Flash" updates. I could alsoadd members to certain community boards.
Thanks, Pamela! I went over to my BFF's house and we made vegan pizza and then watched Young Frankenstein. Too funny! The little kids coming to the door were adorable.
Hubby took our daughter out and I went with my mom to pick up my stepdad in Little Rock. So I missed all the fun but my mom doesn't like driving long distances alone and plus she doesn't need to.
Well, the idea is that the candy is in the trunk of cars and the kids go through the parking lot from car to car and get their candy instead of the "dangerous" going house to house.

No trick-or-treaters here (apt), but I was talking to a friend while she handed out candy. She had about 100 kids in one hour, and ran out of candy in 1-1/2 hours. Last year she didn't see that many kids all night. And it was COLD up here this year.
We are rural here and very few children around here so everyone goes into town for trick or treating. I always buy a bag or two just in case but no one is home so....
We had my son's wedding rehersal and dinner last night. All went great, but I was already tearing up...
Pamela, it is this Sunday. We're all pretty excited. They are getting married in a 150 year old historic sandstone church and the reception overlooks Sydney Harbour. And a sunny, mild day is forecast. I love weddings, must be the romance reader in me.
Congrats on the upcoming wedding Lisa :D Which church did they choose? The weather should be good from the forecasts, all cleaned shiny following tomorrows showers.
We did the Trunk or Treat at the Moose club where my dad and step-mom are members with the little one. The people decorated their cars, and there are people on the grounds who have campers, so those were decorated too, and the parade of kids went 'round and got a bunch of candy, and then they had a costume contest, and pumpkin decorating and food. It was ok, but I can't wait til he's a little bigger and grandma and grandpa can take him without my assistance, lol :)
That is sooooooo neat, Lisa (Aussie Girl)! Congratulations to you and yours. Would love to see pics.
