Speaking of Birthdays falling on Mother's Day or other holidays, my youngest son was born on Friday the 13th in May and this year his birthday fell on Mother's Day ☺ My mom's birthday is May 7th so we always get to celebrate her birthday and then mother's day shortly behind.
Hope you have a great birthday Jordan!!!Eat lots of cake and ice cream and open some great presents!!! I hope your day is filled with lots of love laughs sunshine and hugs!!! Have an awesome possum day ☺

You are very welcome!!!!

Pamela, I feel your pain. Mine was taken out by a chainsaw wielding idiot trimming branches from power lines last week. Had I known what they were doing, I would have avoided the computer until they were done. Won't have mine back until next Friday at earliest (I'm online at a friend's right now).

Lisa Kay: Thanks, I hope to have it back by Friday. Friend's husband is going to look at it, but they are out of town until Tues afternoon.
Jordan: Nooooo comment! :D
And to add to the "wonderful" June I am having, I was almost hit last week by an inattentive driver. I often walk in the evening, after it cools down a bit, and was only three blocks into my usual 2-1/2 miles. Yes, 2-1/2 -- there aren't a lot of cross-streets, and the roads twist and turn.
Anyway... I had the right-of-way (NO stop sign), Green SUV had stop sign. She stopped, looked left, and then started to turn right--without even looking that direction. Good thing I was paying attention and have fast reflexes! And then--after almost hitting me--she had the nerve to glare at me. Some people, honestly... *shakes head*

I almost hit someone several months ago. I was coming out of a dark parking garage into BRIGHT daylight and my eyes hadn't adjusted; the woman was wearing all black, including black gloves (the kind with the fingers out); the trees in the background were dark forest green; she even had black hair. Anyway, she walked across the drive-way, in front of me as I was pulling ahead. She was talking on a cell phone and NOT looking where she was going, let alone at me. Luckily, the person I was with stopped me. (Even though cars had been pulling out ahead of me.) Scared the pee out of me. My heart was going a mile a minute.

Why else would I be in Barnes in Noble buying seven books? But it still made my day that I got so many :) I might get a membership.

LOL @ Jordan. Why else do you buy books, except to read them? I agree that you should not work in a book store if you do not read, and are not familiar with a variety of genres. That doesn't mean you have toa ctually read in every genre, just be at least a little familiar with it.
I have applied at Half Price Books three times over the last couple years and never received a call back. Meanwhile, after the first app was turned in, they hired a girl who did not know who Shel Silverstein was. I was as surprised as the gentleman who asked where he might find his books, as he saw none in poetry (answer: in the back children's section). Okay, I can understand poeple not from the US knowing who he is, but how does any American child get through school without reading Silverstein? Needless to say, she did not last long.
I try to frequent the local library's monthly used book sales, and it is always crowded. Some people fill entired shopping baskets, and I have even seen some bring one of those large plastic storage bins and fill it to the top. Every now and then I will purge my personal library and donate a stack of books to them. And then, of course, I turn right around and buy a few more. *G*

I can't believe she didn't know who Shel Silverstein was? Whoa. I remember splurging, years ago, on his giant

And speaking of libraries, somebody needs to get their rich booty down to my middle-of-nowhere town and donate some money to our non-existent library. That's right, we do not have a library, well a library BUILDING, that is. We have a bus behind out local Circle K that suffices as my book gathering haven, but sometimes it just doesn't do it for me, especially since I have read almost every book in that thing and when it is 100 degrees outside and just as hot inside. Seriously, I need a library!

I remember the Bookmobile from when I was a kid. It's great for areas that don't have a library near by, but I do remember how hot and crowded it could get--and how frustrating when materials weren't rotated so that it was always the same books you'd already read over and over (and over) again.
I actually live in the middle of an area where there are four libraries, but none are within walking distance, or even a bus ride without transfering, so I haven't had a library card in years. Ironically, the one library's monthly book sales are in an off-site locale directly across from where I bank and shop (Walgreen's, Office Depot, Half Price Books, grocery store), so I do try to visit that when I can.
NOT that I don't have a huge TBR pile already...
