I enjoy good writing. Lately I've been diving into fantasy/sci-fi books.
You can find me in little old Wisconsin, I live on the Oneida Indian Reservation. My true love is traveling. I will go anywhere any how and enjoy every minute of it. Right now I'm working on getting myself back over to Thailand. The home in my heart. I miss it so.
I am working on a biological science and history degree with a emphasis in war/torture.
I guess this is me in a small simple nutshell =)

Thanks for joining! I love having you. That is cool that you are an artist. I can barely say my stick figures are good, ha ha.
My name is Jencey Gortney and I am from the Atlanta Georgia area. I am a transplant who wishes to be out west. I love to read. I like the fiction genre, but can be persuaded into nonfiction on the occasion.
Hi everyone, I'm Heather. :)I live in Ontario and am in my last year of high school. I love to read, I'll read just about anything as long as it holds my interest. I also love to do art as a hobbie when I have the time and love to play sports and spend time outdoors.
Thank you Jencey and Heather for joining =)
Jencey, I'm reading Funny in Farsi, it is a pretty funny memoir. This non-fiction book had me laughing out loud in a few spots, connecting with the characters, and I also found it hard to put down.

Hi, my name is Dara and I live in Central IL. I am here because I LOVE TO READ and love the idea of your group. I read mostly fiction but will read many different genre's. I loved to read as a child to the extent that when I ran out of books to read at one point I read the entire set of children's encyclopedia's we had. Now of course these weren't Encylopedia Brittanica or anything, they were for children and had lots of pictures but there were probably 26 volumes (one for each letter of the alphabet) and I read them all!!
Hola! I'm Zakiya, and I live in the home of country music: Tennessee!! I love to read; I'll erad anything if it's intersting to me. I love to listen to classical music (while I read or when I'm on the computer). Reading giant books is always my goal, although if you hand me a thin book that catches my attention, I'll read it too! Also.....Twilighters Unite!! (I'm definitely a Twi freak!! =D)
HP rules the world!! (I live for anything relating to Harry Potter! :P)
Dara, thanks. Please invite others who would also like the idea of the group. I would like to get as many people as possible!
Everyone, thank you for loving and supporting reading =)

It depends on what kind of music. Sometimes I find myself bobbing my head to the music and shortly singing along, which no one wants to hear. SO, mostly I don't mix songs with books. LOL!
lol... i listen to music and read books at the same time because if u think about, it completely isolates you so you wont be bothered.... You cant see or hear :)
Haha, I always try to listen to classical if I'm reading because otherwise, I hear a song I like...and I usually end up losing my page! :P
Classical I save for homework time and for putting my boys to bed. =)
3 boys... 8,7, & 5. They are a ball of fun.
Welcome to the group Savannah!!

So glad to have you join! I'll trust you play the flute way better then me. (I have not touch one in years.)
Awww. I'm sure you play well!! :D
I defiantly don't play well anymore. LOL! I'm sure it would sound equally horrible as my singing.

Hi everyone! My name is Kristen. Most of my free time is spent either reading, crafting, or writing. Someday I hope to be able to publish YA novels. That's about all there is to know, I suppose.
Hi everyone, thanks Elyssa for the invite to this group, I think it is a wonderful idea for a school project.I am a 46 year old 100% Disabled Army Veteran, a mother of 3 grown children, two grandchildren, and have a wonderful husband for 12 years now. I live out in the country which is a small community called Dale, Texas; which is just south east of Austin Texas.
I love to read different books but my favorites are Fantacy, Paranormal, romance, mystery, christian, etc... I think the only books I don't read are Horror.
I haven't always had to chance to read because of my career and the kids activities but now that they are out of the house and I am retired, I find that I'd rather read than watch TV. I'm also finding out that I read any where from 15 to 20 books a month depending on how big the book is.
Happy Reading everyone
Thanks for backing me up on this project!
I only made 12 books in January, the most ever so I'm completely happy with that.

You did good Elyssa if you got your 12 books in considering you have 3 kids, you work and go to school. You are one of those amazing women, keep doing what your doing and when it comes time for you to retire, you can read all you want. My husband and I are planning on traveling (RVing)around the states in a year or two once he retires so my reading time will probably slow down a little but I look forward just to enjoy life and read as much as I can. Besides, a person who keeps their minds active by reading will stay forever young in mind and heart - LOL
You might not be able to read as much but you will find yourself grabbing a few chapters in some amazing spots. To me travel is the best way to learn about the world and the people in it.
You are right about that Elyssa and so look forward to the learning and education. I love to travel, I actually got on line and ordered tourist information packs from every state except Hawaii (the packs were free and they all came with a map). Some states even sent DVD's of their states major attractions, for example, Alaska sent a DVD on their Highway transportation routes (boats that are faries) and then Maine sent me a DVD on their main attraction called Windjammer (large sail boats that cruez up and down their coast for 3 to 14 days). Anyway, I love all the information I got and look forward to seeing all the beauty there is out there. We also plan to go to Austrailia one day, we've both been to England and Paris already and my husband spent lots of time over in Spain when he was in the Navy so we hope to go their some day as well. Anyway, I will be in heaven when I get to travel and read at the same time.
Hi everyone. My name is Randi, and I love to read and write. I don't read very fast, but I do manage to read a lot of books in a year.
Hi happy to join and I will ne as active as possible. This sounds like a great project for you and will be a great group for all readers.
Oh and about myself...well i love to read.. I am from Peterborugh ontario canada. I am married and have a 6 year old son Daymin. I haven't travelled really but would love too and hopefully soon cause I work for lufthansa german airline and hopefully will take advantage of my flight benefits very soon.

I'm glad you are for the project. I'm still working out the kinks but I'm happy about the progress made within several hours.
