Kate (katemreads) | 46 comments Hi, I'm Kate. I'm a sophmore in high school, which right now makes reading a once in a while thing. I love to read, write, horseback ride, photography, friends and lots of other stuff and I read just about anything as long as it's good.

message 60: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 86 comments It's fiction based off a real historical time period :P

message 61: by Savannah (new)

Savannah (savannahmd) | 8 comments ohhh. calling it historical fiction makes it seem boring

KrisT Hi, this sounds like a great project. Well, I love to read of course. Married for almost 21 years, also love crafty things like sewing, quilt making. I like hiking and would like to do more travel someday.

Peanut | 25 comments Hi, this does sound like a great project. I also love to read. I just graduated high school, so i have some free time right not.

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks for joining!

message 85: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (readerandwriter) Hello everyone. My name is Ashley and I am a bookaholic. I'm from Walnut Creek, California. I like all types of books, but I read a lot of YA. I am more than happy to help with your project Elyssa. I wish you the best of luck with it.

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm glad that you and everyone else are supporting this wonderful project.

message 87: by Amelia (new)

Amelia (ameliarobinson) Hey ya'll! I'm Amelia and I'm located in Charlotte, NC! (HOLLA!)

I'm constantly reading (though it's hard with school, but I manage). I just finished reading the Percy Jackson books last week. (CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!)

I don't really have an all-time favorite book, but I prefer to list my favorite authors. They are: Kristin Cashore (author of Graceling, and Fire), Maria V. Snyder (author of the Study series and Glass series), J.K. Rowling (duh), Eion Colfer (Artemis Fowl books, The Wish List, The Supernaturalist, etc.) Sarah Dessen (Along for the Ride, This Lullaby, The Truth About Forever) and awesome authors like that.

I'm a writer. I hope to be published as a teenager (cross your fingers!). A huge source of inspiration in keeping me moving towards getting published as a teen is Cayla Kluver. She got published with a TOTALLY AWESOME book (Legacy). Knowing she can write brilliantly and get published is a huge motivator. Kudos to her! ^_^

I love reading mostly fantasy, but I love a good urban fantasy (that doesn't involve vampires) and realistic fiction. :)

Wonderful group. :) Good luck with the college project!

message 88: by Jordan (new)

Jordan (flyinglogicmonkey) | 150 comments Hi, Amelia. :)
What do you write?

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello, Amelia =)

I hope you get published as well.

message 90: by Amelia (new)

Amelia (ameliarobinson) Thanks, Elyssa. :)

Jordan: I write fantasy and urban fantasy but right now, it's just fantasy. :) Tis fun stuff.

message 91: by Peanut (new)

Peanut | 25 comments Hey Amelia, I hope you get published. My little brother met a kid author the other day. She wrote a book with the help of her mother, so if she can you can.

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

That is good to see the youth being published and wanting to be published.

message 93: by Karli (new)

Karli (goodreadscomkarli_is_booked) Hello - the college project appealed to me, as I spent 7 HAPPY years at college between my undergrad and Master's...I am Karli and from Grand Forks, ND, and after I left college to find a career and take care of my kiddos I read lots of candy books for about 5 years. :P My friend who is working on her MA in my old English department gave me a stack of great books this summer and I'm hooked again. LOVE good fiction, Harry Potter, Stephen King, Richard Russo and various others. Happy to have a place where bibliophiles are welcome. :)

message 94: by Amelia (new)

Amelia (ameliarobinson) Peanut: thanks for the encouragement. :) It's things like that that keep my inspiration up and running full time. :) Thanks.

Elyssa: It's a shame that it isn't more common, but then again, less people means less competition, yeah? But the youth are up against the adults. But we shall conquer our little section of the publishing world. :)

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

This is the place for bibliophiles. Goodreads is a good place for padding your TBR list. LOL! In a good way of course. Thanks for joining!!

message 96: by Nida (new)

Nida (thaigurl) | 6 comments Let's see.. I haven't done this yet! Well, I'm from southern California, 27 years-old, and I'm studying nursing with possibly many years of college ahead of me. I love to read for fun, but I'm trying to read more books to expand my mind. Aside from books I love love love music. Elyssa, this is a great project you've got going here! :)

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

Two thanks. For joining and for supporting the project.

message 98: by KSMary (new)
