Nah, I kinda need this job. And with my luck, I'd look up and there would be kids throwing stuff and having marker wars and being general nuisances. Oh, the joys of subbing~!Actually, I love subbing to death. But with elementary/middle schoolers, you need to be on your toes.
I know what I'm going to do while I wait for the list, I'm going to get together the books that I own and want to read and see if I can then fit them into the challenge! I bought some new books the other day and realized a lot of old books are sitting in my closet waiting to be read.

And the most pathetic thing is, I actually brought the list to work with me…
I am so glad to see I am not the only one. This is my second snow day stuck at home and this makes 5 days in a row off. That might sound great to you, but a. I get restless and b. I miss teaching- it keeps my energy going in a way that nothing else does. I am dying for her to put it up so I can joyfully "waste" the rest of the day planning!
lol, I think at this point, she probably won't post the list until she gets back from work, which will be evening. Which means there is a whole day ahead of us of sporadically checking to see if the list is up. Heres to hoping I'm wrong!

I was hoping I would be wrong! When I emailed her yesterday, her reply was "sometime tomorrow". Maybe she is off? LOL!

Maybe she is just taking a nice long nap... or she is sitting at her keyboard snickering evilly into her hands as we all wait for her to update. *sigh* bored... bored... bored...
Jayme wrote: "I check GR on my breaks too and when I am at home. :)"lol, I am in class... a really boring class... which means I am constantly clicking the refresh button and replying to everything. Maybe I will look at some of the group games...
What I *really* should be doing with this time is starting "The Historian". It has been sitting on my shelf for a year. Looks interesting, but it is a beast of a long book!
Ashley - that is a brilliant idea! I have an ebook version of that book so I can read it at work *and* make it look like I'm studying something of utmost importance at work. Why didn't that thought occur to me before now?
The Historian is one of the group reads for the Spring Challebnge. Has anyone read it? I looked up the summary and it has to do with Dracula right?
I have read the Historian and I liked it, but as many reviews state, the ending was kind of flat/disappointing. The whole rest was very engrossing though!I quess I am going to read the Golden Compass since I read the Atwood book. We only do one group read, right?
they only count one group read but I have read two of the group reads for Winter. I read "Alice In Wonderland" and I read "The Stupidest Angel" I intend on reading "The Princess Bride" but probably won't be able to get it in before the end of the Winter read.
I would have loved to read Alice. Maybe I can work that into Spring. I guess I am going to go "kill" some time while we wait for the list. Lol
Jayme wrote: "what class kathryn? "Ethics. But it is more like philosophy. The professor is all over the place and it is impossible to follow.
I've read all three of the group reads, and The Historian was my least favorite. I'm killing time here until my breads cool and I can bag it up and make deliveries.
Yes the tasks are up - I don't know why but I had a hard time deciding on tasks this time around - but I think I came up with a good mix. I'm going to work on task help posts now.

Hmmmm I think you just justified it for me, too!
Kids playing bingo, teacher finishing my book!!!

Cynthia, you are awesome! =) Never think you aren't appreciated, and always feel free to ask for help typing things up, if you need it (I'm a technical editor, so I can help spiffy up lists once you have the basic tasks selected). Thanks for posting so early!!!
WOOHOO! I forced myself to stop checking for the last 2 hours and lo and behold- the second I stepped away, they came up!!!!!!!!!::dances::
Thanks Cynthia! You do such a great job and everyone here appreciates all of the hard work you put into this challenge! So excited for Spring!
