What other authors do you read?
I like Jayne Ann Krentz (mostly Arcane society and some sigle books), Lisa Kleypas (series about Travis and Wallflowers), Judith Mcnaught, Diana Palmer (I adore Hutton & co series), Linda Howard (my favorite book is Shades of twilight, it makes me cry), Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga, Richelle Mead's Vampire academy, P. C. Cast's House of night, etc.
Along with Nora Roberts I read Judith McNaught (which is my favorite author) Candace Camp, Jude Devereux, Sandra Brown, Linda Lael Miller, Victoria Holt, Phyllis Whitney, some Danielle Steel (but a lot of her books make me cry), James Patterson, Iris Johansen and several, several others.
I'm new to this group. So "Hello" to all! I find it so interesting to read everyone's list of favorite authors. I'll read a list and think that I've found someone else who like the same writing as I do. And then I'll see an author of a book that I marked in my memory bank as "NEVER AGAIN"!! It's so surprising and makes me think sometimes that maybe I'm wrong and should give these stinkers another chance. Then I'll re-think that. On the message above from Tammy, I think McNaught (OH YEAH!), Deveraux (You bet!), but S Brown, D Steel - big NO. I've given Ms Steel a lot of tries too and I've just given up. Emily, I've read and enjoyed Julie Garwood. And Stanislava likes McNaught and her favorite is Shades of Twilight by L Howard. My favorite too!! I've recently started Kleypas, but I've tried & tried J Krentz and don't like her. Does anyone else notice such variety in reading tastes or is it just because I'm new to a group?
Emily, I just finished reading The Secret by Garwood. Anyone who likes historical Scottish romances should definitely check it out!!
Besides Nora Roberts my favorite authors are Sarah Addison Allen, Nicholas Sparks I'm liking young adult authors Cassandra Clare and Suzanne Collins.
I read : Julie Garwood , Judith McNaught , Jude Deveraux , Nalini Singh , Christine Feehan , Lora Leigh , Shana Abe , Kresley Cole , Karen Marie Moning , Sherrilyn Kenyon and Maggie Shayne .

I have posted a few books on paperback swap (some Nora Roberts, some other romance and a few cozy mysteries). I will be posting a few more in the next couple of days. To find me on PBS: under the tab "community" go to "member directory" then in the nickname box type tams-books and click search. One you find me, click my nickname and then click on my bookshelf tab. Happy Reading Everyone!
I have been reading mostly Nora Roberts. I then went to Nicholas Sparks & now I am reading a series by Susan Mallery, which I love.
I also read Tess Gerritsen, Lisa Gardner and Amanda Quick/ Jayne Ann Krentz. I've also started reading Cherry Adair.
I love Lesley Pearse books, have read loads of hers, one of my favourites I have just finished is 'Never Look Back', sat and sobbed my heart out, when one of the characters died, and some of the other chapters sat and cried.
I have also started reading Jill Mansell, her books are very good, read alot of Katie Fforde books as well.
I have still got a lot of Nora Roberts books at home to read.
I got my friend who I made through facebook, who lives in Northern Ireland to start reading Nora Roberts, she has now started reading them, she read 'Art of Deception, which she said was brilliant.

I love Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series, Julie Garwood's Buchanan-Renard series, Lisa Klepas' Wallflower, Hathaways and Bow Street Runners series. I've also started reading Karen Rose and Kay Hooper, both of whom write interesting romantic suspense novels.
I have read a Karen Rose book, got another 2 to read at home.
Kay Hooper and Karen Rose are two of my favorite suspense authors. I recently won and read Rose's You Belong to Me, and it was one of those up-all-night-turning-the pages kind of books.
Both are new authors for me and I'm loving their books. I've got quite a few for Hooper and my state's digital library has all of Rose's.
Other than Nora (and JD), Sherrilyn Kenyon, Julia Quinn and Jayne Ann Krentz (and her alter egos) are ones I can pretty much guarantee I'll just buy. For something a little different, I love James Rollins, Steve Berry and Stephen King back in the day. I do own a bunch of Laurell K. Hamilton and Anne Rice books. Otherwise, I'm motivated more by the story than the author. I've got a lot of a lot.
Jillian Hunter, Janet Evanovich, I liked Vicki Lewis Thompson's nerd series, Susan Donavan, Meg Cabot, Nicholas Sparks, Joanne Fluke and more.
My favorite author beside Nora Roberts is Iris Johansen so far just got back into readin last year so im still lookin for new authors
Season wrote: "My favorite author beside Nora Roberts is Iris Johansen so far just got back into readin last year so im still lookin for new authors"I also enjoy Nora Roberts but have not read an Iris Johansen Novel. A few of my other favorite authors that you may also enjoy are Jodi Picoult, Nancy Pickard, jannette Oke and Tracy Peterson. Good luck :)
Too many to name them all! But, I am partial to Eloisa James, Janet Evanovich, Christina Dodd, Sandra Brown, Linda Howard, Catherine Coulter, Karen Robards,Harlen Coben, and Michael Connelly, just to name a few.
I have seriously become obsessed of Florencia Bonelli. She's an argentinian writer who writes about modern and historical romance. Her descriptions are amazing and writing is fluid, her books are quite thick but they're so appealing that once you start reading it, it's impossible to put it down. I have read many of her books, in fact I'm reading one of her boos right now, but my favority is the 'Caballo de Fuego' trilogy.
I have several other "go to" authors including, but not limited to, Mariah Stewart, Kathleen Woodiwiss, Julie Garwood and Lisa Kleypas. I know I can always curl up with one of theirs and find myself far away. In fact, I've just started
by Woodiwiss and she's already transported me back to Civil war torn New Orleans...She was wonderful at that.
I enjoy books written by Debbie Macomber, Sandra Bricker, Janet Tronstad, Jillian Hart ( and many more romance authors ) plus..I also enjoy cozy mysteries - including books by Joanne Fluke, JoAnna Carl, Heather Webber and more! =)

Oh, so many!! My personal favs and ones that are on my own shelf are Jayne Ann Krentz, Elizabeth Lowell, John Sanford and lately I've become quite addicted to Heather Graham.
I recently discovered a great author - Pamela Clare. She has a great series related to a group of journalists (I team) that work together. It's my favorite series Except for Dallas/roarke.
I did read one of Pamela Clare's earlier books and hated it. Stick with I-team books. I think there are 4 or 5 in the series.
I have had a look on Amazon at her books, they seem a bit raunchy
Sandra Brown, Barbara Delinsky, Elizabeth Lowell, Linda Lael Miller, Debbie Macomber, Johanna Lindsey, Catherine Hart...there are so many, I know I'm forgetting some Lol
Julie Garwood, Elizabeth Lowell, Kay Hooper (although didn't like HAVEN at all), Andrea Kane.. and a long list that is escaping me for some odd reason.. :-)
Karen Rose, Laura Griffin, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Mary Higgins Clark, Sandra Brown, Jayne Anne Krentz, Julie Garwood, Christina Dodd, Judith McNaught, Jula Quinn. And more.
My go-to books (aside from NR/JD) when i run out of anything new to read (or too bored to try new books) are:Kristin Hannah - all her books especially Magic Hour, Home Again, Night Road, Mystic Lake, Home Front and Firefly Lane
Judith McNaught - what's not to love?
Julie Garwood - especially the Buchanan series but all her books really
Linda Howard - most of her books
but i also follow the Black Dagger brotherhood (Wrath and Rhage woohooo), Dan Brown, James Rollins, Lisa Gardner, Susan Brockman, Nicholas Sparks, John Grisham, John Sanderson, Robert Crais, Roxanne St. Claire, and so many more
Nora Roberts/ JD Robb are the top of the list, but I also love Catherine Coulter, Linda Lael Miller, Julie Garwood, Janet Evanovich, Elizabeth Lowell, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Johanna Lindsey, and Mary Balogh. I'm sure I've left some out. Oh, and I've also enjoyed some of the classics by Jane Austen, Louisa May Alcott, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien. I'm rarely without something to read...
I like mystery and romance. My favorite mystery authors are Harlan Coben, J.A. Jance (her books seem to be hard to get from the library.), James Patterson, Catherine Coulter, and Stuart Woods. I also like cozies my favorite cozy authors are Nancy Atherton, Krista Davis, Joanne Fluke, Diane Mott Davidson, and Heather Webber.
My favorite romance authors are Susan Wiggs, Kristin Hannah, Debbie Macomber, and Luanne Rice.
