There are SO many options. It all depends on what you like and what you're in the mood for. You've got a pretty wide assortment of books listed. If you liked Merry you might like the Anita Blake series as well. I've enjoyed it at least :)

A few of my favorites include, Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward, Rachel Morgan/The Hollows by Kim Harrison & Weather Warden by Rachel Caine.

Ang -PNR Book Lover Reviews (pnrbookloverreviews) Yeah i like all sorts :)
I have just started the Rachel Morgan/dead witch walking im liking it so far :)

Actually there are 6 Vampire Diaries books. The first 4 aren't bad. The last 2, NIGHTFALL & SHADOW SOULS, are really awful. I assume you already know that the books are nothing like the show, except for some character names!

Don't let STORM FRONT discourage you. It's not very good, unless you've got it in audio and James Marsters can make anything good. They take off after that.

Welcome to the club Briansgirl. I have to really focus on finishing series before starting new ones and I'm constantly tempted!

Melodie - I completely agree - Marsters could read the dictionary and I'd be enthralled

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I liked Storm Front and am off to read Fool Moon next. Thankfully the library has the complete series.

Finished several more books in a couple of series.

Tempted (House of Night, #6) by P.C. Cast My Soul to Save (Soul Screamers, #2) by Rachel Vincent Ghost Moon (Moon, #9) by Rebecca York Dead Beat (The Dresden Files, #7) by Jim Butcher

I also started a new series - for a good cause, it was a group read.
A Kiss Before the Apocalypse (Remy Chandler, #1) by Thomas E. Sniegoski

So... I have 26 books to read in order to be 100% caught up on the series I care about. Much better than the 45 books at the beginning of the year. Even better - I had 15 series that I started in 2009 that needed to be caught up on and I'm down to 5! YAY!

LOTS of new releases coming out in the next few months though so I'm going to have a tough time keeping up with everything.

My first introduction to the universe was in Mean Streets which isn't set in Seattle, but in Mexico, so she didn't have her pals to lean on and explain things for her. I love that. I'd just read book #3 when I decided to take the month off from the library, so I could read books on tbr stacks/ piles/ shelves. It was just getting good and now I gotta request book #4 & #5.

I wish she could call up Jamie from the Women of the Otherwold and ask for tips!

Oh Teresa! I think you take the trophy for having the most series to catch up on :)

I'm slowly plugging away at mine.

I've finished
Proven Guilty (The Dresden Files, #8) by Jim Butcher Blood Beast (The Demonata, #5) by Darren Shan
and will finish today
Demon Apocalypse (The Demonata, #6) by Darren Shan

I also started a new series and am so glad I did. It's the WWW series by Robert Sawyer and I highly recommend it. There's only 2 out right now with 3 planned so it's not a huge commitment. The first book is WWW Wake (WWW, #1) by Robert J. Sawyer .

Teresa in Ohio wrote: "well if I would JUST STOP starting new series (LOL) I might get caught up "

That's my biggest problem too! I always find some excuse or another to start a series even when I say I'm not going to start any more for a while. "It's a group read, I HAVE to read it" is my fall-back excuse for most of the ones I've started lately.

Let's see... I've finished two more books
The Dead-Tossed Waves (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #2) by Carrie Ryan Where Angels Fear to Tread (Remy Chandler, #3) by Thomas E. Sniegoski

Only 25 books left including new releases out so far this year... one day /sigh/
