well at least im not the only one that notice this lol. i mean i have notice that they are "just talking" about making movies for the VA, hous of nyt one and couple other. but they arent doing anythign but talking, i mean what is taking them so long to decide to make a movie that isnt twilight or related to it. i see other sites that ppl at joining the groups to get the hollywood ppl to start new movies about other books like VA, HOUSE OF NYT, BRB SERIES. they should stop thinking and start doing lol....

yea i have notice.... and the way mayer is writing about vampire being all sparkle is just damn wrong. i mean all the book i have read since i read twilight tells that they cant be in sun light i mean come on y would she even make that shit up w. the diamond when they are in the sunlight.

if she didnt write it that way man, mayer wouldnt be so popular w. the movies. ( i mean bella wouldnt of have met edward and all, or the book wouldnt have been so populer)

I think the thing is that Meyer took a brave step (trying not to go in her defense), it's just that her step kinda was in the wrong direction. I mean I've read books where only the stronger (aka older) vampires could go out in the sun, and another where only the new aged vampires could. I've seen shows where they can, but it makes them incredibly weak. I've seen/read many different stories, and they're good, I think she was TRYING to do the same, venture out, but it's just that doing that is a hit or miss thing and she just happened to miss it. I give her credit for at least attempting, but, it just wasn't good enough.. we also have to take into consideration that this was her very first book ever published, she's still a beginner.. and that's exactly what her story portrays, that of an amateur. I've read better pieces on goodreads from 12 year old girls (no offense to anyone) than that.

Bad ass vampires are slowly making a resurgence. At the moment, they do not have the popularity in literature or movies as TWILIGHT, but there are some noticeable evil vamps out there. David Wellington's vampires in his series, or del Toro's STRAIN series. 3o DAYS OF NIGHT was a very popular graphic novel and a fairly successful movie. And while TRUE BLOOD and Anita Blake have elements of paranormal romance, you still have evil vamps as the antagonists. Right now the market is so saturated with glittery vamps due to TWILIGHT's success with teenagers that the renaissance of the evil undead has been delayed, but it's coming. At least I hope so for the sake of my career. :-)
