Ah, what the heck, turning over a few garbage cans is good for the lack of soul (you see what they throw out these days). I think I prefer what you call the gothic vampire, but I don't think they have to be 'troubled' as such. But they have to have a touch of humanity in them for me to find them interesting. If they are 100% evil, I guess the story would be more like 'good guys chasing the monster' - like Stoker's Dracula. But, as I said, I'm a newbie and haven't even thought about this until you asked!

im new to this group, so yea i been reading since last year when my husband left for over seas, and i had 3 month old baby then so i decided to read the twilight series to kill some time alone. and i did and i was done w. all four book in a week lol yea i know that is crazy. so now i want to read more book that deal w. vampires and love stories and killing. im a mother and i thought i was getting to old for these teen books but damn im so wrong. i been branching out to besides the teen book, got to romance stuff to by j r ward( god i love her books, wish it didnt end w, all the books she wrights) i even read her other book by her other name jessica bird lol. then i got started w anything that deals w. vampires and angels. so now its been a year since i started reading and im been threw about over 70 to 90 books. soo i hope u guys will tell me what is good and what isnt, so i dont buy a book that is wast of time and money lol i hate that part about books lol. but i am up for anything w. those catagories. right now im reading j r ward fallen angel series. and i love it almost done w. it. so yea hope every one tel me what to read so i dont go crazy next time i finish a book lol.
