Jim Hardison Is there a new Odd book coming out that I'm not aware of? I've read all the current ones...

Just the graphic novel follow-ups, as far as I'm aware :( I hope it gets better than "Odd Hours" -- was that a miss for anyone else but me? I adore Odd. So much.

ZeN Loved the first 3 novels but Odd Hours was just filler.. it really didnt add to Odd's story. I was suprised to read recently that a movie is in the works..

Vicki G For Odd Hours? Wow. Brother Odd is better than Odd Hours, so is Forever Odd.

ZeN No the film is going to be based on Odd Thomas the first novel.

I love that series. The whole thing. I have listened to them while doing stuff I love to do. Just love the way they flow. Love Odd Thomas, Brother Thomas, the whole thing. :)

Lucy I loved the series as well, but when I heard the next was a graphic novel, I was a little put off. I am currently in the middle of "Odd Hours", but can't seem to get through. I think I just don't want to accept that (for me) the ride is over.

ZeN Supposedly there is a plan for two more Odd Thomas novels.. but with Koontz you can never know.. People are still waiting for the conclusion to the Moonlight Bay Trilogy..lol

[According to a January 14, 2000 interview with Bookreporter.com, Dean Koontz was quoted as saying "I'm half way through Ride the Storm, the third Christopher Snow story, but another book will appear between False Memory and Ride."
As of 2003, Koontz was still "halfway through" Ride the Storm]

This is 2011 and were still waiting.. l o l

I feel like "Brother Odd" was every bit as good as "Odd Thomas" -- my reasoning is this -- book 1 was fantastic, book 2 was good, book 3 was fantastic, book 4 was eh, at best, and so I'm thinking if the pattern is followed, book 5 should be fantastic... right? ;) Haha.

I've never read anything else of Koontz's before or since Odd, but I hear the Christopher Snow novels are pretty darn addictive.

ZeN I have read about 30 Koontz novels and it seems that he is very hit and miss.. hes willing to go out on a limb with his stories, and sometimes its just too absurd. However, he has written a good deal of enjoyable novels.

*sigh* Yes. I keep crossing my fingers and hoping that will be the next book he announces. I think that's part of the reason I haven't been as into the Odd books as others (though I did love the first and enjoyed the third). It just feels like Koontz has fallen so much in love with the Odd character that it consumes all the time he has for any other series.

At this point, I'd begrudgingly accept having a graphic novel wrap things up.

Tamela Odd Thomas is my favorite Dean Koontz character, but the first book that I read had Christopher Snow and it was a fascinating character read for me. I recommend Chris Snow books also.

Char I am a Dean fan but Odd Thomas is not one of his best. I was a bit disappointed. Still a fan of Dean tho!!

Tracy Oh, that's sad. I love little Oddy!
