Like you I like The Alchemist,too...
I turned me into a loyal Coelho completist!
Right now I'm nearing the end of reading Coelho's The Pilgrimage...
What I realized in hindsight in reading The Pilgrimage is that it so meld with Coelho's humanist philosophy that it seems to me that I should've read The Pilgrimage first before The Alchemist...
I loved every moment reading both books and I'm glad many other appreciate how Coelho's book had an impact and affected our lives for the better...

May pera ba sa loob ng puso mo? har har har

Well, then let's see about it when I read the novel...
I'm just getting my head start reading Coelho's books... ^_^

What's good to others may not sound good for you.
So don't sweat it, madam.
And I respect your opinion on that, as much as I respect everyone's opinion on any a particular book, either it be genre fiction or literary fiction.

Nice one there, Mr Doni... ^_^
Me like it...
Just kiddin, Marco..
Of course that was a terrific review. I wonder what grade your teacher gave you for the review.
Care to reveal it to us? Hahahaha!! :D

So what's the grade, Marco? :D

So, here's the question: Do you think Paulo Coelho has the chance to win this prestigious award?
I think he have a chance being the very first author who expanded his fame up to the cyber world and he is the first to espouse file sharing of his books thus encouraging increasing book sales of his works.
So what's your take about this?
Do he have a chance even if it is a slim one?

Tehheee!! ^_^

So I pick it up and I thought it was really amazing. It motivates me to not give up and pursue all my dreams and aspirations.
I also love his Veronika Decides to Die and Zahir I love them but I rated them 4 stars because I find the ending disappointing.
I also read Brida, In The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept and The Devil and miss Prym I find them good but not that really great so I rated them 3 stars.
I also have read the Witch of Portobello but I only read up to 80% of the book I think since I just borrowed the book from the library and I need to return it but it was disappointing since it seems it was plotless.
What I really hate was the Valkyries I just read the first chapter and return it immediately from the library since I really find the first chapters boring and uninteresting.

I admit we're a little bit slow when it comes to our group reads...
And so now...
I'm giving you, yeah that's right, YOU!, to post your favorite book you want to discuss here in the Filipino Groups and who might've guess somebody else have read it also!
Then here's your chance!
A few words of Instruction before you post your book discussions.
1. No multiple book discussion posting. If a book was past discussion in this folder, the moderators will make prompt action and delete the post and incorporate some of the posts there to the previous one.
2. Respect other readers. By that I mean giving someone who reads your post a fair warning if what he is reading has a spoiler. Yeah I know the feeling of being robbed of all the suspense by just reading a post, whether by incident or design, that contains a potential spoiler.
3. Other rules to follow and let's just all see how would all of this will turn up. If you've got any suggestions regarding further rules on the matter you may do so by just posting your questions, suggestion, comments, etc. below.
So guys, c'mon!
Post some of the book you want to discuss with other members.
Let's celebrate this passion we call reading...
And let's celebrate being a Filipino in the process..
Mabuhay kayong lahat!
Mabuhay ang mga Filipino!!
