oops, forgot one.9. Duchess by Night - Eloisa James
Loved it! Made me laugh out loud. Thinking I may need to read something other than romance or ya though :)
Skinny Bitch: A No-Nonsense, Tough-Love Guide for Savvy Girls Who Want to Stop Eating Crap and Start Looking Fabulous!Essentialy a guide to go vegan. It's a little too much of a condescending type of tough love for me but it does have some references to Gail Eisnitz's book Slaughter that are a must check out if you have any interest in animal welfare.
I've read two books this year about factory farming, I'm not sure I could take another one so soon. D:I got to the part in "Eating Animals" where Foer describes how beef is carved from animals that aren't even dead yet. Talk about motivation to stay a vegetarian.
Yes, reminds me of the saying, "if slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian." We are so removed from the processing of food nowadays.
11. Black Ice by Anne Stuart. Read this on a recommendation but didn't really enjoy it. The hero is too cold and boring, flee scenes riddle the novel. Also, since the hero is a killer, he has no problem drugging the heroine to get her out of the way. Not sexy!
The Crown - by Deborah Chester. Had to finish the series that started with The Pearl. This was a love story but there was practically no love development. More court intrigue, which is interesting, but unfortunately evil followers of an old god overthrowing the emperor of light is not that intriguing for 300 pages.
French Ways and Their Meaning by Edith Wharton. An interesting perspective on the French, filtered through Ms. Wharton.
15. The Writer's Guide to Everyday Life in Regency and Victorian England from 1811-1901- Kristine Hughes. Decent starting point for research. Snippets of daily life are fairly sparse but very interesting.
20. Double Enchantment - Kathryne KennedyVictorian England meets witches, shapeshifters, and gnomes.
22. Lord of Scoundrels- Loretta Chase23. No Rest for the Wicked - Kresley Cole
I'm on a Ms. Cole kick here. Didn't think I'd like this series but am loving it!
28. A Broom of One's Own: Words on Writing, Housecleaning, and Life - Nancy PeacockAmazing book about the writer's life. Loved it.

Though technically this is two books in one
