Working on physical fitness. I run 3 genetics projects, I still dabble in some programming, historical research, ...and look at more books to read! :)

Donna | 1350 comments Quilting & handwork take up a lot of my time. I'm gearing up for a kitchen remodel. I'm also signed up for a photography class. I've owned a very expensive camera for about a decade; it's time to learn how to get the most out of it.

Mae (birdsinflight) | 117 comments Write, working on writing projects. Hike. Get out and be in the nature of my area.

Too much DVD viewing, some times.

Random (rand0m1s) I've been doing a significant amount of gaming this winter, but over all I tend to do a bit of everything.....except for house work. Much to my mother's despair, I never inherited that particular gene. :)

Leighann (zhelenstilo) I translate (Japanese to English, on an amateur level) and write. (I also play video games and watch some tv, but those are arguably not "good" habits ^_^; )

VWrulesChick | 351 comments Other than working and reading, I dabble in night school twice a week and a walking clinic for 1/2 marathon 3 times a week.

I like hanging out on www.postcrossing.com where I exchange postcards with other members, also involved in an in-person and online bookclub each month.

ohhh and add eat and sleep, too and spend time with hubbie - hehe

Donna | 1350 comments Hey Norma! The really big Gammill long arms can be fun. I knew someone who owned one & she gave me a lesson. It takes hand/eye coordination to a whole new level. We agreed I should to stick to hand quilting.

Meg (moonorchid) | 131 comments Besides reading and housework, I love to shop, I spend copious amounts of time on the internet, texting and chatting to friends on my cell, playing with my daughter and spending time with my hubby. I just started a blog recently so I'm into that at the moment. I am still learning how to use my time wisely so I can still read like I want to and get the stuff done that needs to be done so I could workout more.

Carly Svamvour (faganlady) Gardening - my husband's the superintendent of the building we live in. We've been here since '94 . . . when we came, nobody cared about the front yard. As long as the leaves were cleared, the walks cleaned . . . it needed something. I started a bit at a time - making little circles around the old trees, filling them with pine cones. Then I started planting things . . . now, there are so many plants out there! Oh, boy! And I'm always adding new ones . . . I work mainly with things that go well in acidic soil - seeing as how that's what we've got - that and a heck of a lot of shade. So the wild ones, like the wild violets, go very well on our lot.

I never get finished everything I want to do in the gardening season - but I just keep plugging on.

I'm mad about gardening - all winter, I plan on it - I don't really have the energy and the bones are getting old - Ma didn't pay cash for 'em, so I can't exchange them at Wal Mart's customer service.

But still, I grow my seeds - a lot of them from 'deadheads' I've saved - some of it works, some of it doesn't - that's how we learn.

Gardening is a science, really. Just as much as a research lab, it's a science of trial and error.

.................

Other interests? I like to go out and sing at karaoke's, or jam with my daughter - she does a lot of singing and we share the songs we've written. She's cutting a CD sometime this year, and she'll be using some of her own stuff and some of mine.

.................

I also write. Not as much as I used to, but I still putter around at the writing sites, join challenges, etc.

Every once in a while I get something published.

Donna | 1350 comments Carly I'm in awe. I like to think I'm into gardening. I only have this little corner to work with & I'm going on three YEARS deciding how to finish it out. Seriously, normal people can make a decision about mulch in under five minutes.
