Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Ah, Batman Begins. Good movie. I've actually been wanting to watch it lately. Maybe I'll do that lately.

message 854: by M (last edited Jun 14, 2012 06:28PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Muse: Don’t you feel like your moderator title is kind of, well, private?
M: I suppose. Why?
Muse: Don’t you think the crew should respect that?
M: I get a very nervous feeling whenever you give me those big eyes.

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Alex (Al) wrote: "Indeed, but I do like it blank."

Yours is fantastic, Al.

Actually, a title is something that people recognize you by, M's Muse, so technically it's the opposite of private.

message 856: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Unless your title is Private, that is.

message 857: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I like it blank, and that’s the way I intend for it to stay.

message 858: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments :(

message 859: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Alright, then, I'm going to attempt to watch Fringe again. People keep talking over it; I probably missed a half dozen good jokes.

message 860: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments What? Okay, Stephanie. I’ll try to come up with something.

message 861: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments I hate it when people talk over the TV....

message 862: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Yay!

message 863: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments M, you don't make sense sometimes. Which partly explains why we all like you here.

message 864: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Do I sometimes make sense?

message 865: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments M wrote: "Do I sometimes make sense?"

Yeah ... I'm sure ... occassionally ... maybe.

message 866: by Stephanie (last edited Jun 14, 2012 06:54PM) (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments I think that's one of the running qualities we have here among crew members.

message 867: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments sub regno Alexandreae summus.

message 868: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Indeed, we all are.

message 869: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments What's your title mean?

message 870: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments “Under Alex’s reign.”

message 871: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Can I quote your title on Facebook, Stephanie? I know several friends who would love that.

message 872: by M (last edited Jun 14, 2012 07:11PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments It really is beautiful, Stephanie. Where did you get it?

(Cough. Cough.) I’m supposed to be in bed already. Good night, pirates! Whoever’s on watch, don’t go to sleep and fall out of the crow’s nest.

message 873: by Stephanie (last edited Jun 14, 2012 07:14PM) (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Oooh, I like it, M!

Ah, my title is actually a version of a quote I saw on Facebook. It was too long so I had to cut some of it and rearrange some wording, but that's the basic idea. Thanks, guys. I'm glad you like it. I can give you the full quote if you want, Edward.

message 874: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments That would be great.

message 875: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Okay, here it is.

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments I love your title steph. Just thought i'd be the last person to say it :D

message 879: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Oh, thanks, Kat! And may I ask who with a top hat you love?

message 880: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments So, I'm contentedly making fun of Poke`mon for being a world legalized dog-fighting upon which their enitre economy is based and that those Poke`balls are probably some sort of mind-control technology ("I tried to kill you, but you beat me and trapped me in a little magic ball - I will now get beat up over and over for your amusement!"), and then someone points out an even more horrifying aspect of Poke`mon: Their reproduction process.

Japan, what have you poisoned us with?

message 881: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I do too. But it's serious screwed up on every level.

Premise: Legalized dog fighting.
Characters: Non-orphan ten-year-olds wandering around the country without adult supervision.
Setting: A country with its entire economy based on said dog fighting - you have train and fight or support the training and fighting of Poke`mon.
Narrative: Shouting, violence, half-baked humor (half the time), all ending with every one accept the enslavement of poke`mon.
Backround Stuff: Poke`mon reproduction and ... what exactly goes into those five burgers Ash ate?

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Anyone speak another language I can practise? Italian, Arabic, Russian, Hungarian, Gaelic, Inuktitut, Japanese, Spanish...?

message 883: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Yeah, and over analyzing fiction is how I relax. I'm not making a big deal of it; I just think it's funny.

Actually ... show about legalized dog fighting is a rather screwed up premise for a kid's show regardless.

message 886: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments You YouTube messages back and forth.

message 887: by Cheyenne (new)

Cheyenne | 815 comments HAHA, that's actually a good idea, M. I did it with Ally on the "Greetings" thread. Like this *motions to self, draws thumb under chin* etcetc... It takes a minute to decipher though :p

Cheyenne | 815 comments Alex (Al) wrote: "I wish we all had Skype. That would be so much fun."

That would be scary....... imagine a public video chat and someone popping in on the lot of US!

Kyra, you should learn ASL! It's so much fun. However, you have to get a name-sign from a deaf person.

message 894: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Video IM, that is.

message 895: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments My dad has Skype. As much as I'd love to IM all you lovely folks face-to-face, it's on my dad's phone and my dad wold never let me use it.

As for sign language and morse code... I'm drilling myself right now. Almost have morse code down, but have a looooong way to go for sign language.

message 896: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Yeah but in a group Skype you can only see the picture of people not the video.

message 899: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Yaay I am not alone, I love you Kyra. (Which is not wierd to say to a person you barley know as long as it is on the internet and nobady cares. Or so I have been told)
