Romance Lovers for the Challenge-Impaired discussion
Introductions....
hi, I'm Lisa. I'm new to goodreads, but looking forward to talking about romance books with people who love them as much as I do! Nice to meet you all. :)
Hi to all our lovely new members!! Feel free to ask any questions you like if you're feeling a little lost!
Hi Everyone! ~~wave~~I'm a reader of all things hot and steamy and a new author stumbling my way to authordom.
I look forward to chatting with everyone! :)
Hi, I'm Nichole, from Oklahoma City. I keep seeing this group pop up on my home page in status updates, so here I am :) I don't think I can pick a favorite book, I have a few of them. Some of my favorite authors are Karen Marie Moning, Lisa Kleypas, Kristan Higgins, Seanan McGuirre, Patricia Briggs, Victoria Dahl... and the list goes on. I just recently started doing challenges, other than the PIFM, and have become addicted. This looks like a fun group, I'm very excited to be here!
Thank you CaroB and Susan. CaroB, it was status updates from friends in this group. The build a book body challenge was the clincher for me :)
Welcome to RLftCI, Alice, Chrissie, Sarah, Lexi, D.L., and Nichole! Sorry I'm late in saying, "Hi!" I've had company and other obligations all week.
Hello!I'm Teresa and as you can see by my user name, I love baked goods. Cookies and rich, fudgy brownies are a favorite, followed by muffins and cupcakes.
My favorite genre is mystery/thriller, but I'm open to many other genres. I've had a soft spot in my heart for romances for YEARS. Probably since high school. I used to subscribe to a couple of Harlequin/Silhouette monthly clubs. My favorites have always been romantic suspense, followed by contemporary romance with a lot of humor, but there's always room for a good historical! I'd stopped reading romances for a few years, mainly due to getting wrapped up in so many mystery series, but I've kept up with Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb (she was always my favorite romance author). I've recently been introduced to Lisa Kleypas and loved the few of hers that I've read. Definitely going to read more by her.
I figured joining some romance-related groups here would only encourage me further in my desire to return to reading more romances!
Hi, I thought I'd done an introduction but I guess not. :) My name is MaryAnn Kempher. I'm a writer. I won't try to shove my book on you, but I am proud to be a published author, finally. :) Took a long time. My book is romantic suspense and is called, Mocha, Moonight, and Murder. It's set in Reno NV.
I'm from Wisconsin, but currently live near Tampa Florida. I'm married with two great (most of the time) kids.
Hi there, I'm Micky! :) I'm not a writer, though I attempted to write a few short stories in my life - I simply love reading. This year, I picked up my pace and hopefully I will keep challenging myself to read new and exciting books. Looking forward to some inspiration through this group. :)
Hi, I'm Claire and I'm from the UK. I never used to read romances until I got my Kindle and then the free books for it opened up a whole new world! Now I love the cheesy, girly books just as much as the sci-fi and crime I used to read :)My current favourite book is The Night Circus while my favourite author is Clive Cussler
Heather wrote: "Hi my name is Heather I am from Louisiana. I love reading mostly historical romance but I do read other types of books"Hi Heather! Welcome to the group! Where in Louisiana are you? I'm from there and moving back this summer :)
Hi, I'm Anne and I'm addicted to reading. I have been reading romances since I was 9 years old. I also like scifi and paranormal books too. I love Patricia Briggs, Kresley Cole, Amanda Quick and Lisa Kleypas.
Lisa Kay wrote: "**waves* Hi, Claire! Oh, I've been meaning to get to one of Clive Cussler's books."*waves* Hi LK! I would probably recommend one of the books in the middle of the Dirk Pitt series to start with, before he starts writing with other people but after the first couple of books when he started to hit his stride. The others are still good but not quite as good!
